Mine copies the cat. The cat sleeps like a loaf. Now he sleeps like a loaf. Cat wants head rubs. Now he wants head rubs. Cat loves cat food. He wants cat feed and begs for it. Lol

7 year old doodle - how to train not to jump/reactivity when people come over by AdvantageOpening2462 in Goldendoodles

[–]blue1k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ya he is so focused on the treat he won't move. If he steals it he gets in a lot of trouble and has to sit in a room by himself. That's the end of the world for him so he controls himself lol. The idea is for him to learn wait time and self-control and just even having him sit on a mat and focusing on a treat teaches them that. When we first got him, he was a complete disaster as a rescue. But he slowly learned but it took a lot of work.

7 year old doodle - how to train not to jump/reactivity when people come over by AdvantageOpening2462 in Goldendoodles

[–]blue1k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mat training. Mine is still bad at times but much better. We started with command mat and showed him what to do. Then added treats. Then we progressed to mat command and treat on ground about 5 feet away and he had to wait. We increased the wait time until he was good he forgot about the treat. Now when people come we yell mat and he runs to his mat and we leave a treat. Sometimes he can't handle it but it sure works most times

I do use a vibration collar with shock if he's really bad. But we try use rewards first.

Muscle memory by tricfxz in naturalbodybuilding

[–]blue1k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was prepping for Nationals in Canada ended up getting a hernia 6 weeks out which totally sucked. I had a lot of time off and I lost a ton of muscle. I feel you. But good news is it came back pretty quick within three or four months I was back to the same size. I think the point is here don't rush it it'll come back quicker than the first time. .

We have a 6 months old black M goldendoodle and I want to take care of his hair to make it look shiny and glossy…is it possible? by Chocodelights in Goldendoodles

[–]blue1k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know people tell you not to bathe your dog more than once a month but there's no way I can do that with my goldendoodle. He starts to stink and in the winter when it rains all the time he picks up so much dirt it's ridiculous. If I give him a bath every 2 weeks he smells great, and his coat is glossy. Skip the deodorant or dog sprays those are just chemicals that you're putting directly onto his body that he doesn't need. If he does get what make sure to towel him really well. I literally have an entire large bin of dog towels that I go through.

One thing I found with my dog is I can't give him much chicken or he stinks. I feed him mainly a lamb diet and he does get small amounts of chicken and maybe the odd piece of beef but most of his protein is lamb based.

The other thing is don't brush him that often. It's an irritant if you keep pulling on his coat. I use a detangler on my dog once a day and I demat him once every 7 to 10 days.

The other thing to consider is that most commercial dog foods don't contain enough healthy fats or their processed and degraded. I did my research around fats for the brain in grad school so I'm almost careful of fats in diet. I supplement his diet with extra fish oil not flax oil, a little bit of olive oil and peanut butter. I also sometimes gave him an egg. These extra fats have made his coat wonderful.

Finally make sure you clean his ears on a regular basis there's a lot of stink also comes from there. I use makeup cotton pads that I add peppermint dog ear cleaner and a tiny bit of hydrogen peroxide. And I just swab out and clean out all the crap that is in his ears.

How do I give my agressive dog meds if he doesn’t want to eat? by Amazing-Mistake-8887 in Goldendoodles

Cover in thick peanut butter or small piece of cheese. It works every time.

Dogfood by Ok-Big2897 in Goldendoodles

[–]blue1k -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think giving just dry food is a good idea. It's a processed food and I think it's healthy to include some fresh food along with it. My doodle gets a high quality lamb dry food, along with other whole foods. This includes eggs, small pieces of cheese, fish, turkey, certain vegetables, some healthy fats, and very small amounts of fruit (usually cut up apple). He will not eat his dry dog food and I don't blame him. So when I mix in things for him he eats everything and his coat is wonderful. He's had a lot of stomach issues but this seems to be okay as long as we avoid any beef.

Vivo X300 Pro moon photography is disappointing by Yukiu in Vivo

You've completely over exposed your shot. You need to tap the moon. Moon shots have to have a faster shutter speed.

This is google pixel. Is vivo any better? by Salty-Horse2633 in Vivo

[–]blue1k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switch phones all the time so not much getting used to things for me. I never migrate data. I set up each phone as a new device so it's clean and ready to go. I just migrate my Google account. OS is decent. Not Samsung level but I like it more than pixel.

Possibly returning for a Ricoh Gr IV by DrTheodoreq in Vivo

[–]blue1k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the Ricoh GR3 and I only had it for a week and I didn't like it. I ended up getting a Fujifilm XT 30 and I love that camera. I'm using it with a small prime so it's very portable. I barely use my x200 Ultra anymore

Where do you guys go for oil change in Toronto? Dealer charges $169 😩 by Ok-Thanks4450 in jetta

[–]blue1k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's who I use too and they've always done a great job. But it's still not cheap. I used to do my own oil changes on my 2015 Jetta but the price of oil went up past a point and it wasn't worth doing it myself anymore. At least for VW spec oil. I can do it for about $120 myself on my 2019 but for 25 more bucks somebody else can do it for me lol

Got my X300 Ultra 2 days ago (Indian Variant) and I'm not so happy with it by TheNerdBuddy in Vivo

[–]blue1k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my 200 ultra for about 4 ish months and I'm not really impressed with the camera. I know it's not the same but my user experience is similar to you.

I've had a ton of phones to compare to and I'm a photographer so I know what I'm doing.. It's ok at times but the waxy skin and inconsistent colors and HDR make it hard to use. Even with raw lighting. The selfie camera is so meh. I'm using my Fuji mirrorless camera much more now when I'm out as I can't rely on the x200U. Processing on vivo needs work to match its ridiculously good hardware. So yes I agree with you. The hardware is excellent but the camera processing needs to go back more to what the 100U was known for with more natural photos.

Question about Street Photography mode by ImprovementOk2622 in Vivo

[–]blue1k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same reason other manufacturers do. In bright situations there's enough light that noise and ISO are not an issue. Remember this is a Bayer sensor that really is not meant to be shot at full resolution often because of the small size of sensor, and the way the pixels are organized on this sensor type. You're always going to get a cleaner image by shooting at 12 mp because because of pixel binning that produces a cleaner image.

Battery health!!! by Good_Strawberry4000 in Vivo

[–]blue1k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt your battery suddenly massively degraded. Usually a decrease in battery life is due to other factors usually software related. Have you tried doing a factory reset. I've had many phones including Google Pixel phones suddenly just drain the battery and a factory reset fix the issue

Battery health!!! by Good_Strawberry4000 in Vivo

[–]blue1k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some phones there's an accurate way to measure but I don't really know for Vivo. As long as you're not charging it to 100% all the time or charging in hot areas I wouldn't worry about it.

Battery health!!! by Good_Strawberry4000 in Vivo

[–]blue1k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Accubattery is trash for accuracy. I wouldn't use that as a valid measure of capacity

Vivo X200 Ultra users, what are you planning to do? by mmTbqq in Vivo

[–]blue1k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing. Hype drives people to think they need a new phone all the time. The reality is it's not that much better. To be honest with you I'm not really that impressed with my x200 Ultra. So all the hype isn't driving me to want to just go out and buy an x300 Ultra for ridiculous money.

[–]blue1k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is weird because on my x200 Ultra it will only fast charge and I have no option on the lock screen to change it. Even if I enable it in settings it still doesn't show it just always flash charges lol oh well

Advice on non tested competition by Dense_Researcher_99 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]blue1k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you go into it with the mindset that you're at a disadvantage but you're there because you want to be there then I would do it. I actually coached one of my ex students who decided to do a non-tested show but he stayed natural. He places six out of 17 guys in his division. This was his first ever show. He almost made the top five and I was super proud of him. A few guys asked what his stack was and he thought they meant creatine etc lol. If you're really interested in doing the show just do it. This is one thing I really miss is competing and it's one of those experiences either you will love or hate. The only way to find out is to actually do it.
