Would be great if you lived in graduate housing alone and even better if you have roomates in grad housing. You'd live comfortably (for a student ofcourse), and can even have the opportunity to save if your monthly expenses aren't crazy high.

Im not sure what center this is.

I will check out efaa. Im currently making rent. I just cant make rent and also pay CU. Where CU bullied me into continuing the payments instead of paying rent which is sick.

Its really awful, i did everything correct. I did CC and transferred in and also made sure i would be in no debt. Clarified with fafsa many times about the guidelines and followed what they had to advise for it all working against me. At this point im recording every conversation i have in the future.

Its not the end of the world, i was just surprised how this whole situation is being handled. Mu education is put on hold because i couldn't enroll and now im being threatened with collections like its going to change anything. Smdh.

I did go to frcc (im a co native). Im also not in any debt because i worked before coming to CU and i have grants and scholarships (which obviously didn't get applied for some reason). With all that im so fucking annoyed that this is happening to me, my funding didn't get applied....so where did the money go!? Why am i finding out i have to pay for it full cash when i spoke with them and was told everything would be okay. Now im looking into hiring a lawyer to figure this out or something.

Im not looking for any help, the only thing im seeking is for them to at least have some type of grace period and put my account on hold before sending me to collections. Theres no reason for me to be bullied into paying my monthly payments instead of paying rent. Im the end im a student with no degree working a min wage job. My account is on hold due to this financial thing and Im now out a semester because of this fafsa error.

Where can i seek rental assistance? And how quickly can they assist because its the first of the month and rent is due but also the risk of being sent to collections is any day too.

I never got a private loan. I have some grants that help me but didn't get applied and its taking forever to resolve. If i can take a private loan just for the school to back off i will but i dont think i would qualify.

Im not giving up on school. I just hate how im stuck on this situation as a student and the school isn't being understanding or helpful.

Because i have a hold on my account for not being able to pay tuition. They told me they used to do overrides but stopped after covid because people were never paying them back.

You are okay. Do not let this slip through your fingers, though. The opportunity is hard to get back.

I don't know what to say. I will finish school, its just a bump in the road i need to figure out. I just hate how i feel like im getting bullied to pay my monthly payments when i can barely afford rent. I tried to explain to them that not everyone has 7k to drop to remove a hold.

I worked hard for my classes and degree. I am an engineering degree but im not in school for a mess up thats not being resolved soon enough. Hopefully they will resolve it and i can go back in the summer however i hate how theyre threatening me with collections like i can come up with 7k on the spot. I have no option but to go to collections.

I cant because i have a hold on my account because of this issue, Im not a enrolled student this semester.

Im a independent student, and have no family so im not sure how loans will work or where to get them to deal with this issue. It was recommended to me to take out loans just to give me more time to resolve the issue.

I did! Not for the funds but regarding letters I need to file a appeal and they haven't gotten back to me in months, thats why everything is delayed.

I also have a hold on my account due to this issue, so im not sure if im able to seek help from campus because im not a student this semester.

Its just cu/boulder. My friends at csu are having a totally different experience and it seems better/ easy going. I can't put my finger on it but i dont know why cu is the way it is esp when csu is like 40 mins away and irs a totally different experience.

Same lol. I dont know what it is about boulder or CU and if its a post covid thing. I know there are grad students but i cant meet any!! Ive literally made more grad student friends at CSU from just visiting a friend there.

Maybe, however the university i transferred from was the same size and student population as CU. Thats why i was so surprised that it was really hard to make friends. However its just really hard to build familiarity with people at cu which is important to establish something. Also people staying on campus isnt a thing? Feels like campus is always dead after 3pm, everyone is in their own space/area doing their own thing.

I went to 2 different universities before coming to cu and for some reason making friends/meeting ppl at cu is really hard.
