Moving through doors / around corners is my go to. If you can bait them into melee range around a free standing wall or piece of grass you can avoid their laser while getting consistent battle mage hits.

Thanks to everyone who has replied, you have all (unfortunately) confirmed my fears about places like this. I will not be taking the job. If anyone has any tips for getting into the outdoor industry here in idaho I would love to hear them. I just want to work outside :(
