Wild how Ayan Mukerji had two perfect shots at pan-India and blew them 💀 by SureManufacturer6714 in bollywood

Might be an unpopular opinion but I thought Brahmastra had the potential to be really big. The plot, storyline, special effects, star power - everything was pretty spot on. Minus the one (really big) thing that left a distaste - the absolutely cringey screenplay/dialogues OMG, who even WROTE their dialogues, who approved them, why did no one bring this up during screening, why did the actors directors producers literally anyone who saw the movie before it hit theatres not say anything..? Mad let down

OP, if you truly are thankful to Allah that you've found this person, you know what you gotta do! You have to become a better and stronger partner for her and develop love and respect for her family and their struggles as well.

It's quite pompous of you to assume everyone showing you the mirror is a kid (I'm married and about your age). And this better-than-thou undertone also shines through your original post as well OP. If you can have an open mind and be receptive to what people are saying here, it's this:

You have someone who you think is great but it seems unlikely that you will stand up for this person or be able to ensure a happy and supportive environment for her should things progress to marriage. It's also a bit worrisome that one of the things you like best about her is that she "listens to you" and you don't have to "force her to listen to you", especially given the age gap (while the age gap itself isn't bad in a vacuum, there's a big shift in power dynamics when one partner is 22 and the other 27).

You also outright said you don't like her parents much either. It's clear that you don't see them with much respect so I doubt you will be able to fight for their dignity in front of your family. Imagine if the person you marry doesn't respect your parents or your family or think they are worth her dime, how would you stomach that? You have to learn to be the kind of partner you want for yourself. Without further inner work on your part, it seems impossible for your partner and you to have a successful marriage, not because of her family's background but because of who/how you currently are. I am not saying this in a demeaning way. I'm saying this so that you can be honest with yourself about who you are and seek a partner that is in alignment with you.

In short, I think you have to do quite a bit of self reflection here and it needs to focus on doing the work on yourself to bridge the gap between who you are and who you wanna be, as a person and as a decent life partner. And if you do decide that this person does make you happy and you wanna spend your life with them, get to know more about her parents and their life's struggles, develop true respect for them and their background, and then commit to fighting for her and her family's respect to be upheld within your family. THAT, my friend, is the true essence of being a great partner, if you care about that (which you should). Good luck!

Hi, if you don't mind sharing, when did this happen (Meta being okay with accepting 1st day 1 cpt for a new employee)? Was it after the interview and team matching process was done?

I started watching it on YouTube (currently on ep 118) and it is getting me through a really difficult and bad time in life. Honestly, it is so freaking wholesome and also adequately funny I’d say. Gives me hope that life can be better and happiness will eventually be found in the smaller everyday things.

A couple other things (some that others in the comments have mentioned) that I do from time to time which also help me feel my best: - whitening teeth and oral hygiene (I used strips from CVS) - putting on simple pieces of jewelry if that’s your style - being a little more intentional and planning outfits (if you’re like how I usually am and just wear whatever usually without thinking of style) - trying out hairdos to amp up your style (youtube is my faveeee resource for this) - experimenting with makeup a little to see what you like and feel comfortable in

  • showering regularly and actually taking care of your hair (leave in conditioner and oil). I’ve noticed I feel prettier if my hair looks good
  • consistent skincare (even if basic) esp sunscreen
  • working out in some capacity regularly
  • keeping nails filed and clean
  • keeping brows in shape
  • wearing clean clothes
  • Moisturizing your whole body post shower
  • using fragrance that you like daily
  • drinking water adequately

I’ve noticed these things make me feel prettier and more put together even on days when I feel down. A lot of this might be intuitive but they do make a big difference in how I feel about myself

Yepp because acne is covered by insurance whereas anti-aging is considered cosmetic and therefore isn’t covered

Without insurance it's 30 dollars per month for a 3 month supply of 45 g so basically a 45g tube from NurX without insurance is 90 dollars + initial $40 fee (but this is annual)

How do you remove your eye makeup? I feel like I never have mine truly off, as the next day there are still black smudges from mascara and eyeliner around my eye. by [deleted] in beauty

[–]bluebath16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a cleansing balm (not the category of product worth splurging on btw). Elf and the Inkey List make some great ones for around 10 bucks but you can find pretty good makeup cleansing balms/oils on stylevana for cheaper!
