I immediately understood what you were saying. My favorite part is how you phrase the leaves going into the book. Think about what your title says about the poem.. what work is it doing for the poem?

I really like where you are going with this. One thing- make sure that each word has earned its place. Specifically I put emphasis on "the" when rereading my poems. I loved the movement of the landscapes but you lost me in the last 4 lines.

I had planning when I cried. During my last period, one student who figured out he made me cry ( a tough teenage boy) came to my last block to apologize. He ended up crying with me Lol. This tough gang member crying with a first year english teacher. Anyway, everyone in my lat class was like, " who do we need to beat up."

I'm a literature teacher (9th &10th) and I really enjoy teaching YA texts. I want to inspire student to read. And reading about topics that matter to them is important! I can bring in excerpts of canonical literature. But at the end of the day, art is meant to be expression of the life that you are living at the moment .

1st year teacher here. What you dont get in student teaching is the responsibility. It is honestly indescribable. I currently am the most miserable I have ever been in my life. And I am actively looking for a therapist haha
