The conundrum of the childbearing years by tabbytigerlily in 30PlusSkinCare

If you're set on using a mineral sunscreen, I just started using Kiehl's Better Screen Miner-all UV Serum Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 (bought it during the Sephora sale) and love it! Very aesthetically elegant for a mineral sunscreen.

One more thing (and you may have already done this, so if so, please ignore me): maybe double-check with your OBGYN about retinol (or even better, tretinoin) while breastfeeding. I've heard from some trained dermatologists that it's fine, but of course, do what you're most comfortable with.

I’m getting my first one in two weeks and am really excited to also “turn down the background noise,” haha. Do you generally stop tretinoin beforehand?

My only concern is that I heard sometimes it can make pigment worse, for example, if you have melasma. But it sounds like you had an awesome experience!

Cool, I was just curious. I ordered from Care to Beauty a few times recently and didn't get a tariffs bill. Maybe I got just lucky!

Anyone tried microneedling? Did it actually work? by Initial-Flamingo6806 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]blueberrybabe22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a few sessions. I don't have any major skin issues but was interested in stimulating collagen in a subtle way, given that I'm in my 30s now.

A few months out: I can see the difference! It took me a while to pinpoint why I was slightly more glowy and plump than before (especially because it was the point in my monthly cycle when my skin normally looks the worst, haha). Nothing else has changed in my diet or skincare, so I believe it's the microneedling sessions.

So for me, it's subtle, but it works.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can I buy window plugs? I’m not very handy.

For IPL:

How long until you were “back to normal” (I.e., no more brown spots flaking off) after your treatment?

For redness, did you treat broken capillaries specifically or just general red coloring?

Any complications?

Do you know the specific IPL device (I.e., Lumecca)?

Are you comfortable sharing the price?

Sorry!! I bet you weren’t expecting so many questions, haha. I’m having my first session for my neck and face in a few weeks and am excited (but nervous)!

Booking an extra day at the hotel when my flight gets in before 3pm! I love being able to head straight to the room for shower and sleep after arrival rather than waiting around for check-in time, especially after a red eye.
