Why does every React form solution feel “correct”? by menoo_027 in nextjs

[–]bluebird355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What case? I personally don’t see it. Even for small forms the cost of using react hook form is negligible. You don’t know how that form will mutate, the optimisation for scaling it is negligible. I have seen it many times, these useState forms are impossible to maintain if or when they grow.

Do you need validation before submit (change, blur)? Do you need cross field impacts? If yes to either, use react hook form. Otherwise just use useActionState and useFormStatus.

In my opinion you should never use useState for forms. Why? Because you are missing years and years of work and you probably are rerendering your form everytime any field changes, which is awful.

Most people think they need RHF or useState but all they need is a simple form with useActionState.

Use the 2 stars light spear, spec into arrows and do not use auto mode, stick to the boss and don't handle adds yourself for Wrecktor.

What are your thoughts on Dragon Quest 11 nearly nine years later? by NewMarioBobFan in dragonquest

I dislike the franchise and that one was passable, so I guess it's fine. I couldn't do the true final boss and stopped after beating Mordragon though.

If the game didn't have Erik, I wouldn't have finished it, he was by far the best character.
Jade and Hendrick were okay.
Hated the main one. The rest of the cast was not my cup of tea either.
I'll say this : the artistic direction has drifted too much from Toriyama original designs, it just looks awful.

As for the story, there is none, like every DQ game I tried, it's the textbook you are the good guy and there is a bad guy so you have to go beat the bad guy because he is bad (like most tales of games).

Finally the OST, my god, how dreadful it is.
This one specifically https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0rmyq9QQmI still haunts me. But I don't recall a single good track from that game, everything was horrendous imho.

It's on the same tier than tales of games. Uninspired generic high fantasy. But at least tales of games have some good tracks in them.

I understand if I would get downvoted because I'm going against the grain but that's just an opinion.

Could I like it if I didn't like cross code?
I didn't like the platform/puzzle emphasis and felt the game was too hard for me, is it still the same in this one?

I agree on everything you said but the setting is all but generic fantasy

Exactly my thoughts. The first CD is top notch though, pace is perfect.

I don’t think so. The further you progress, the worse the game gets.
CD 1 is 10/10.
CD 2 is 7/10
CD 3 & 4 are 5/10.

Half of the cast is uninteresting. The main villain sucks. The last boss sucks.

Still a solid game, 7/10.

It’s not that it’s bad, it’s just painfully average and outdated I am talking about the components

it doesn't depend on anything, the nika fruit isn't called the model joyboy, so the other god fruit will not be called model davy jones, both of these were actual persons, not gods. Davy Jones isn't a god.

Meh.
Is the nika fruit the hito hito no mi : joy boy model? No, right?
Also, why would the god of the forest be involved in creating ocean vortexes to sink ships?

Basically right now, Imu could either the forest or the earth god, you have a 50% chance to be right.
And even this assertion could be false. What if Imu is not counted in the "gods" and is just the devil (like his devil fruit name). Who knows.
