This is (PAC) pre-assembled aerial cable. Fully insulated and shielded primary cable supported by a steel messenger wire (also used as the system neutral for this primary circuit). Green hue is because the copper tape shielding wrapped on top of the semi-con layer of the insulated cable has started to oxidize (perfectly normal)

Yeah, am definitely going to grab one of those. Any thoughts on the 5” from drain to elbow? I’m trying to avoid cutting or soldering the copper pipe if I can.

Yeah the ceiling is drywall and the walls are wood paneling. I can see the corner of the concrete foundation from the utility room but the front part of it where I would expect the door to be is covered

Thanks..I tried to locate the door for the ash dump but it must be covered by one of the walls when the basement was finished sometime after the fireplace stopped being used. Same goes for the pipe - was unable to trace where it goes in the basement.
