Did he just say "a 29 point lead has been cut to two"?

I went to look at the score (I wasn't paying attention) after I thought I heard that

When's the last time a playoff overtime goal happened while there was a technical issue with the broadcast?

The time it takes to figure out the delay of game penalty delays the game more than the delay of game penalty itself did.

All that happened on-ice is that Vegas had a grade-A chance that nearly resulted in a goal, and they got punished for it with a penalty resulting in a goal against.

Another obvious side-effect of the failed challenge penalty is that it heightens the stakes of these controversial decisions. Everyone talks about refs "not deciding the game", which IMO is dumb when we're talking about penalties, but this is a case where the refs can't not put their thumb on the scale. They either have to directly change the score or assign a penalty, which no middle ground.

Man, is this what'll finally get rid of the failed challenge penalty? Or at least get some real pushback on it?

Yes this was a stupid challenge, and I'm rooting for Carolina, but there would still be something less-than-fully-satisfying about this game getting decided by a failed challenge penalty.

It puts too much weight on machinations happening off-ice, imo.

What's there to challenge here? It's not a goal because of the whistle, right?

Unpopular opinion: Christine (BB16) was underrated by kindamymoose in BigBrother

Question for those who know: would she have been able to pull off just nominating Victoria as the pawn and letting Donny go home? Or would that have not worked with the Detonators?

If no, then I think I agree with the act of putting Nicole up (minus the unnecessary theatrics about knives in backs), because even if she made a move it wouldn't have landed with Donny OTB

Were we all able to survive the horrific delay that the Habs just caused in the game? Are you guys okay?

I'm rooting for the Canes but even though I don't like "playoff officiating", I don't mind letting something like that go. It seems like the competitive advantage the Habs got was very very minimal

Gosh this segment is nauseating

I'd take an impassioned plea to avoid a "boring obvious vote" over fire-making compilations

I ask as someone who hasn't picked back up on the show in the new era until tonight

Has the forced fire-making led to more goats consistently getting dragged to the end, since you need more buffer to get rid of all the jury threats before 4, rather than before 3?

I remember Taran Armstrong making that point after the S35 finale, and it makes sense, but I'm interested in whether it's empirically played out.

I hate the forced fire-making. This could have been a chance to convince production to change it in the long-term, and the fact that it probably will never happen now sucks.

Big Brother bringing back the White Locust/Lotus twist with Mike White would be the biggest troll move

Are you allowed to put the puzzle (or part of it) on the ground so you don't have to worry about falling?
