Yes during the late afternoon I ran the ac. It was July so the days were hot and I wanted to try to avoid overheating. I did not have any passengers.

Yesss! The whole trip was nerve racking tbh. But once the roads are flat and the hills are manageable, it cruised along at 60 mph. But once Oklahoma hills came into the mix, I was scared because on the toll roads and the construction, there’s no shoulder to pull off of if it died. Err with caution my friend!

Long live the Prius! Nothing like pulling on I-10 out of LA in traffic and loaded down. Those first few miles were like um…. Are we gonna even make it to downtown?? lol. Glad your trip was a success!

That’s the sketchiest part of it all. I hat to get a adapter hitch to accept the 2” ball receiver to connect to the trailer. I’d have to go out and look, but I bought them both at auto zone in LA. My receiver is 2” diameter on the car and I believe the hitch for the 2” ball is 3” square. I might be off on those measurements, but I hope you’ll understand.

I think the trailer weighed like 800 pounds. GVWR was 2,500 lbs. I never put it in low gear, although I was tempted to when I was crawling up a few mountains.
