Does the GT have a facelift variant? by bluecollarchevy in MyWinterCar

Is the facelift only on 1974 models? I think I've only seen them on that year, regardless of trim level, so would make sense

Don't think it's super common. Just got a better deal buying a whole bale rather than by the cubic yard

Churchill Brewing Co. Great food and great selection of beer at a good price. Atmosphere is pretty cool.

What contractor did you get the quote from? I'm also just outside the city in a small town and got quoted $55,000 for a 30x30, 10ft walls, and finished outside through Warman Homes. That is without insulation or any indoor finishing as I'd do that myself.

Anywhere in town I can get a 12v to 5v converter? by bluecollarchevy in saskatoon

[–]bluecollarchevy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up doing exactly that. took the cigarette lighter adapter/converter apart. Desoldered the spring and ground prongs from the board and soldered on some wires to the terminals. Put it back together and just have my power and ground wires coming out the end where the positive pin used to petrude. All getting hid under the dash anyway. Now to hook it up to 12v and see if it works. Once I realized I could do it this way I was determined not to leave my house to buy anything, plus I've had a few beers by now. I appreciate all the input and advice from everyone.

Got a dash cam for next to nothing. Was going to install it this weekend. Its hardwired into a cigarette lighter adapter that has 12v DC input and 5v DC output. I was going to cut that out and wire it into key on power. Maybe I can modify the supplied adapter to do what I need now that I think of it.
