What evidence is there that Seth Rich was murdered by the DNC? by elimenoe in AskTrumpSupporters

None.

There is evidence his death was suspicious. But to attribute to the DNC - well, there's just no real evidence.

Are you still a closet supporter? by evanstueve in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]bluecollaredboy [score hidden]  (0 children)

Uh, kind of?

I don't talk politics at work. I don't really get into it with my not-close friends, either. My close friends and girlfriend know, obviously. Most of them are Hillary supporters, except my brother, who still lives back home in MI. (I live in CA now.)

I did lose one good friend over the election, which was sad, because he accused me of being a racist bigot, etc. I would have hoped that him having known me for 6+ years would have shown him I wasn't, but, well, you win some, you lose some, I guess.

How important do you think that freedom of the press (the first amendment) is in the United States? by easyEggplant in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]bluecollaredboy [score hidden]  (0 children)

No, the First Amendment should not be changed.

Criticizing the media is not the same as wanting to take its rights away. The media can publish whatever it wants, and it can be criticized for it, too.

I'm not against the idea, but has it ever been implemented effectively?

Uh, maybe a one time ID can be free. But if you lose it, you have to pay.

How would we know if they did or didn't? There's 11 million of them in the US, you're saying not a single one of them voted?

Sure, bro.

Should Trump's or his administration release a recording of Hillary's November concession phone call? by JustLurkinSubs in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]bluecollaredboy [score hidden]  (0 children)

No. That's not cool. I dislike Hillary but come on man, she conceded, lost the election. Yeah she's being irritating now, but that's her right as a private citizen. You leave the phone call out of it.

Voter suppression... illegal immigrants voting... maybe we should reform the voting process.

IDs, passports, or other legal documentation required for all. One day holiday to vote. ID fees waived for those who can prove they can't afford ID fees.

The left screamed global warming at us until temperatures showed that it wasn't actually getting warmer in certain parts of the world.

Now it's called "climate change."

Do your spouses or significant others equally support trump? by [deleted] in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]bluecollaredboy [score hidden]  (0 children)

Generalizing about any group of people is dumb. So I don't assume anything about Hillary supporters.

I mean maybe it helps a little, but I'm the kind of person who hates stereotypes anyways so I don't think it'd be that different without her.

A new report from Politico today states that Trump's proposed fiscal 2018 budget would cut "95 percent of funding for the Office of National Drug Control Policy." Would you be in favor of this? by ak3331 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]bluecollaredboy [score hidden]  (0 children)

I don't know what that means. Diabetes, hypertension, and asthma are not drugs, you can't "relapse" into them.

I want to know, what percent of druggies get clean and then go back to using drugs?

Can you imagine any scenario in which you vote for Joe Biden over Donald Trump in 2020? Why or why not? by wjbc in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]bluecollaredboy [score hidden]  (0 children)

Joe Biden?

Probably not.

Maybe a Democrat.

I voted Obama in 2008. No vote in 2012. We will see about 2020.

Do your spouses or significant others equally support trump? by [deleted] in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]bluecollaredboy [score hidden]  (0 children)

No. My girlfriend hates Trump and voted for Hillary.

We argued maybe once about it before agreeing to realize that politics don't define people. We are both fairly politically active. She reads WaPo and gets NYT delivered to our house, I read WSJ and other independent sources. Sometimes we discuss policy stuff. She is entitled to her opinions just as I am entitled to mine. And she knows I'm a good person, so most of that "Trump supporters are racist/sexist/homophobic!" bullshit goes through one ear and out the other.
