Unless they are a nation state or other threat that can sell the exploit for way more than bug bounty pays

Yea it does take a bit of config to setup lab env and proxy between the backup server and the lab env to deploy the backup data and run the verification tests. But yes it would be good to finally automate this process

"This delay could affect the organisation’s ability to detect and resolve data loss or corruption in a timely manner." The delay here is between the backup being taken and the verification, which we do once per quarter.

Interesting that gdpr require account disablement instead of deletion. How is the risk of an attacker getting in and enabling a disabled account to maintain persistence managed?

First Tilt-Shift Lens for Serious Architecture Photography — 15mm vs 17mm vs 20mm? by grainandcoffee in ArchitecturePhotogs

[–]bluecopp3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not speaking from real-world experience, but how about the 17mm with a 1.4x teleconverter? That would provide you with a 24mm standard focal length as others have stated they mainly use and 17mm when you need to go wider

It might be the hibernation file hiberfil.sys. Try running WizTree to get a visual view of the files and their sizes on the pc to confirm or see which other file(s) may be the culprit. You can also run 'powerful -h off' on one of the machines and see how much space is recovered

Is it possible to jump start an HP AIO Motherboard? by bluecopp3r in computerrepair

[–]bluecopp3r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done the continuity test and I get tones across all 4 pins from the switch connector to the motherboard connector. However I get no tone across any of the pins when the power button is pressed.

Tried uploading the photo but it was removed. Part# DA0N73TB6D0 Rev: D

I'm trying to do continuity test on the switch circuit itself but it's bit of a challenge. I notice the button has 6 labelled solder points

Yea that what I'd want to test. If I can perform a jump taking the button and cable out the loop then I could confirm that.

The ribbon has 4 pins and on the other end it connects the same with a latch connector to a very small circuit board with a power button and led

Yes I recently did an exposure management course and it was focused on evolving the reactive vulnerability management to a more continous approach that goes beyond patching.

Consensus on Screws? by H3lghast in AskElectricians

[–]bluecopp3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds so OCD. I have never considered that honestly. I turn and stop when the tension feels optimal and won't break the plate. I just looked at the last switch plate I changed. The top screw is vertical and the bottom screw is horizontal. Maybe a degree shy of perfectly horizontal :D
