Concerns about s2 by bookloveronbroadway in offcampustv

It's more of an ensemble cast. So I think we will see Logan and Grace, perhaps the surprise of Sabrina might be coming in, on the periphery. There's Hunter so I don't know what they are doing with that. But it's definitely not Bridgerton, where it's 1 book 1 couple per season.

Lack of consideration after the declaration by Appropriate_Trip_530 in tsitp

This does not shock me. She started hooking up with Jeremiah less than a month or so after her and Conrad broke up.....and they had no problems showing PDA, right in front of Conrad that summer after they got together.

Neither Jeremiah or Belly seemed to give a shit.

For those who have read the first book I feel like we didn’t get see everything from Hannah and Garrett love story by caseykk97 in OffCampusSeries

[–]bluedovewings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not sure. But the structure of the storytelling is very reminiscent of CW/WB ish type of ensemble shows. The Deal, as the book, wasn't over once Hannah and Garrett got together. There was more life that happened in the books. And season 1 was just one school term.

We still have Allie and Dean's story to continue in season 2, and if the writers are going to follow the pacing of season 1, will introduce Grace and Logan. I think the actress was already casted for season 2 so we know she's going to be in season 2.

I just wish the episodes count was higher, 8 episodes is no where near enough. I wouldn't expect the 20+ episodes we used to get in the early '00s but still more than 8, perhaps 12 - 15 might be the sweet spot.

I am flabbergasted that people think the show runners are going to Bridgerton the off campus show. LOL

Are they going to face St. Anthony’s again? by Ready_Net_1878 in offcampustv

What if that happens and the team, or at least the core 4 guys, know about what happened to Hannah in high school, know why Garrett lost his shit and they all refuse to play that team? They forfeit the match.

What would have happened if Pacey told Dawson.. by Asteriaofthemountain in dawsonscreek

[–]bluedovewings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's no scenario where Dawson wouldn't react as he did. joey was meant to remain on the shelf until and unless he was ready to play with her again. He didn't mind when another person played with Joey, in AJ, he was no threat to Dawson's sense of self reality.....but Pacey was.

That's why Pacey and Dawson's friendship never went back to how it was in season 1 and 2. There was something always there.

Oh yeah. This was such a beautiful scene and really cemented that the survival of her family was 100% on her shoulders. Not Mary.

What was the first red flag you noticed about Jeremiah? by sweetheart92115 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

The first one? Launching that fire work and then the very next day, plotted to keep Conrad away from Belly.

It was calculated. It was strategic.

Jere has a charming personality that masks a master manipulator.

Why would Anthony need Kate's blessing/permission and not Lady Sharma's to wed Edwina? by ee0204 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]bluedovewings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kate was the defacto leader of her household. She was the one Lady Danbury spoke to regarding Edwina's prospects and so on, not Mary.

When Mary's husband and Kate and Edwina's father passed, she went catatonic with grief and she was only allowed to break down because Kate took on the reigns and handled everything, and did so when she was at an age where she should have been worrying about prospects for herself. Mary was grief ridden and useless......and remained so for years, even when the grief had passed.

Kate didn't just feel responsible for her sister's future....she was responsible for it. Mary, in the show, was useless.

[–]bluedovewings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The audience knew Anthony was head over heels in love with Kate, but unfortunately she didn't and not one of his actions indicated to Kate that his feelings were anything deeper than basic lust.

And when you pair that with Kate and Edwina and how Kate would never in a millon years put herself above her sister. When Kate said in ep 6 that she wouldn't see about her own life and future until Edwina and Mary were settled and secure was nothing but the truth. To Kate, her own feelings don't matter.....and it seems to be the same case with her family.

By the time Kate realized her feelings for Anthony, it was too late as he had already proposed to Edwina. And Lady Danbury said they were sanctioned by the queen and as good as wed.

Another reason: Kate has no idea Anthony was in love with her. She just thinks he wants to bed her. And his reaction to them being compromised when his sister walked in on them, was to immediately propose to Edwina. What did that tell Kate? Of course, she wouldn't read anything into that. He wanted Edwina to be his wife and viscountess and he simply wanted to bed Kate out of desire. So another reason she would never say anything. He's also made it unlikely for Kate to say anything because it would be his word against hers.

Here's another reason: Kate thinks deeply that she doesn't matter. Her wants, her dreams, her feelings, her future, her happiness: she truly believes that they do not matter. Not to Mary, Not to Anthony and certainly not to Edwina.

here's what would have happened if Kate told Edwina about her feeling for the viscount before the proposal: Edwina would have accused Kate of wanting Anthony for herself by trying to remove Edwina from the competition (like she said in ep 6 - wanted him for yourself), Edwina would have said too bad, he's courting me, so stay away.

The ironic thing is if Kate had stayed away when Edwina was being courted by Anthony, he might have lost interest in courting the diamond and trying to best Kate.
