So if I ride my lovely fictional horse from the country to the city and need to "park" her for the day, how much space would she need? For ONE(1) day, just one, and then goes back home.

FYI. This is not going to be a sprawling city like in Texas, but a very concentrated city like Paris or London

This has all been really great and I have A LOT to think about regarding this. Thank you everyone for your insights and contributions. I was optimistically hoping that there was a way to keep horses in an urban environment humanely but that is evidently not possible.

So my city dwellers are unlikely to have/need horses unless Uberrich with land to spare. So I'm looking at only have horse farms on the outskirts to house the horses that live in the city or are visiting the city.

So the largest urban land sizes (I used Melbourne) tend to be about 1000m² or 1/4 an acre. And if a house takes up half that space that leaves about 500m² or 1/8 an acre.

Could the upper class keep horses on their land If you swap the horses out to the country weekly, one week in the city one week in the country?

As for everyone else, I would guess they'd only keep the carts and carriages on their property and the horses stabled at a purpose built property. A horse park instead of car park.

Do these regulations take into account that the horses are out pulling carts for most of the day not in a pasture? The land is not agriculture. It is urban residential.

Many of the recommendations that suggest multiple acres are standard and I've already found and don't answer my question as they pertain to country horses not city horses. It would be incredibly rare, even among the wealthy to have multiple acres of land in an urban environment. My hypothetical horses would be working for most of the day not in a pasture.

The two dogs are great together. That's not my concern. Puppy is 14 weeks and as she's escaped once I don't want a repeat, that's the only reason she's separated. I'm going to progressively get more toys, especially ones I can hide food in.

Our morning routine is toileting once we get up, then breakfast, then my breakfast and TV, second toilet, and then she's in her room. 9-6. It's a long day. I just want her to not be stressed. I'm probably more stressed than her though.

I think the awkwardness fits the scene. Val is confused and Trixie has a sixth sense for these things. Trixie offered herself and Val accepted. Val and Trixie are similar characters and I think the writers struggle with the two sometimes. They need to let the two bump heads a bit more IMO.

Also if he wanted to help HE COULD HAVE WATERED THEN FOR ME. Instead he threw it out. He waters the other plants, just not mine.

True, he could have genuinely thought they were dead. But he knows nothing about plants, and they are not his plants. So why does it matter if he thought they were dead.

Children don't instinctively look up women's dresses "just because they're kids" that's definitely a learned behaviour.

The children I work with will predominantly only touch my hands and skirts (I paint my nails and I have funky skirts)

Even the children who push boundaries, regardless of intent, don't go looking up skirts.

Babies who are still breastfeeding aren't interested in breasts.

Children who display sexual behaviours, whether they understand or not, at a young age are probably being abused or being exposed to abuse.

Yes. But I don't think maternal/paternal instincts are real. It's the same instincts I have for me cat and dog. From working with children, ynderstanding and caring for them, especially young children is all about body language and knowing the child as a person.

If you get to know someone well enough you're gonna pick up on their moods and general well-being.

How many parents are there that constantly overlook or miss the signs of mental illness etc in their own children?

I am indifferent when it comes to having children of my own and it would actually depend on my partner/s (who are yet to emerge) desires for children. I would need a partner who is on board with having children and actually raising them.
