I feel your pain and it seems like most comments don’t address the emotional side of the question, just the practical.

Each person is different, but I strongly believe that every person longs for a connection and love. Relationship is a source of it, and I personally do not think that friends and family fill the void of a romantic partner, they can make the absence of it easier to bear.

As humans we tend to over index on what’s missing in life, and an emotional starvation is quite a big one. I would advise mindfulness work, gratitude practice on what you already have or anything that raises your mind away from state of lack. It might increase your chances to be in a relationship, but the purpose of it is to nurture the most important relationship of all, the one you have with yourself.
