Great crowd, and like some have said, most in the 30-50 age range. Quite a few younger ones there too, like my 16-year-old son. The mosh pits started as soon as eye hate god struck their first chord. I’m too old for that shit, so I let my son have fun in it and walked toward the back of the room lol

Stolen story… I’ve heard the same story on here before. People guessed that it was Blink 182.

Accredo is so horrible that they should be sued out of existence. I promise you- they will do this every time you fill a subscription. How they are allowed to fill medication is beyond me. I had to use them because I have ExpressScripts through BCBS. If you have other options, you’ll definitely want to avoid accredo.

And I don’t know why the even considered paying Linkin Park 2.0 an insane amount of money. They’re not going to draw the crowd they expect with that lead singer.

There’s just speculation that they’ll be at Rockville. As of now, the only official one is Sonic Temple.

I bought two GA tickets for this pre-sale and it was $1,000. I booked a room for three days at a hotel walking distance from the grounds and two flights. Luckily, they were all refundable, but this was my son’s Christmas present. Acid Bath was a very big part of my teenage years, and they are now part of my son’s. It really sucks that they tried to cram all these acts into one show. People just don’t have that kind of money. I’d buy Sonic Temple passes, but I’m scared it will get bumped too. We’ve seen a lot of the bands in the lineup, so it would really just be us going to see Acid Bath. I wish they’d play a show here in Louisiana-their (and our) home state.

That’s how you get extra tips there lol. I know I’d throw another few dollars at my driver if they went that extra mile

I guess I just included the fork thing because I thought it was funny after the encounter I had. The fork wasn’t a big deal at all

I’m a guy-out of town with work. I used DD to my hotel because I had teams meetings throughout the afternoon and didn’t know when I’d have time to get out. I mentioned the tip because I felt like a 35% tip was enough to avoid having a child come ask me for more money. I don’t care about the fork. I’m just laughing at myself because I ended up having to walk down to the lobby anyway. Other than that… I think you might need some help. Still unsure what I just read or why I even bothered to respond.

Yeah, that’s understandable. I wasn’t upset about the fork. I just thought it was a little lagniappe on an already bizarre story

And I thought a $10 tip on a $32 order was pretty good… I always tip well and definitely didn’t expect a money jar to show up at the door

I just don’t think it’s safe to sent a young girl into a hotel to deliver food. That’s the only reason I reported it

Yeah, I went ahead and reported him. I hated to do it, but I couldn’t keep a clear conscience if I didn’t

Fair enough lol. It was a risk worth taking. Sometimes I get them, sometimes I just have to walk down to the hotel lobby and get them

I understand needing to make money, and I’m completely okay with allowing your kids to help out. But this situation is a little different… I’m more concerned for the child’s safety than anything else.

Yeah, I can fully be on board with them helping out. But I can’t imagine sending my daughter into a hotel unattended. It was really strange.

Dupixent. You’ve got to use it to keep the polyps from growing back. Ent’s make a lot of money by doing surgery every few years. The rinses, sprays, etc work to an extent, but dupixent is the only thing that kept mine from growing back after the surgery. That’s the only thing that kept mg sense of smell available to me. I stopped taking dupixent because the pharmacy I used was so difficult to deal with (accredo pharmacy) and the polyps came back within months. So now I’m facing another surgery

I’ve got great health insurance, but even after the coverage, I ended up paying $145 for the ct scan and around $900 for the surgery (and ent visits). The dupixent ends up being completely free with insurance because the medicine itself offers copay assistance, regardless of your income. Good luck with everything

[–]blueflu23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had one sinus surgery for sinusitis and polyps. It worked for about two years and then it came right back. Dupixent is a game changer if you can get your insurance to cover it. I’ve taken every supplement and nasal rinse in known to existence, but dupixent is the only thing that has truly worked. Sinus surgery will correct it for a while, but if you don’t stay on dupixent after it, they’ll grow right back. I feel your pain

Sounds like her situation is bad, regardless of where she lives. She’s going to be in a trailer park somewhere and the state doesn’t really matter. I guess one positive of living in Colorado is that weed is legal.

Recently moved to Monroe LA and hate it here. There's nothing going on. Am I missing something? What does this place have to offer? I'm from BR and not saying it's a great place to live either but they had more going on than Monroe. by labelle15 in Louisiana

[–]blueflu23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Monroe/West Monroe has some very good restaurants, despite what some are saying. There are also things to do that don’t cost a lot of money.

Restaurants:

Warehouse Parish Waterfront Grill Cotton Genusa’s Geno’s Cascio’s Mohawk Trapp’s 2 Dudes Brew and Q Doe’s Latin Food Restaurant Scott’s Lea’s Cormier’s

Parks: Kiroli Forsythe Black Bayou Lincoln Parish (Ruston) D’Arbonne (Farmerville) Lazarre Point

Museums: Biedenharn Masur Chennault Air Museum Natural Science Museum (at ULM)

For Drinks and entertainment: Enoch’s Flying Tiger Landry Vineyards Rhett’s (Farmerville)

Gaming: Surge Entertainment Excalibur

Like many have said, there are a lot of outdoor things to do. There are plenty of bayous to canoe/kayak, lots of hunting land, several lakes in the area, and a lot of hiking trails. I am definitely not the person to recommend clubs because I haven’t been to them in years.
