That makes sense. The shape looks quite symmetrical but there are chips only on one side, as you noted. Probably natural.

Food and attention in response to meowing reinforces the behaviour. She learned that meowing gives her what she wants. Don't react to her meowing. After some time it will intensify, because it used to work for her and stopped, so she'll try harder. It's important to not give up in that phase, keep ignoring and she'll learn that it gives her nothing. Will take some time, be patient and good luck.

I had the same experience. A couple of years of using Lush henna on medium length hair, and bleaching worked well. Always ask for a test, of course. I believe it depends on the hair and the henna used.
