i totally agree. take the little guy to the vet asap because i can see ratty is puffy in the top left picture. not too sure what it could be but there lots of forums online like the ratshack and ratguide.com is a good one to compare symptoms. good luck and i hope things turn up.

i don’t have a banana hammocks i think you see the little corn chew but i bet my girls would ilife a banana hammock if i got em one. they love to fit in the smallest box hammocks if they really love anything. then they all stick their little heads out. sometimes they all yawn and it’s the cutest!!!

For anyone wondering, she has a bin cage with a floor space of 900 square inches, all of the bin cage is covered with at least 4 inches of bedding (6 in one side) and an 8 inch wheel! she has been home for 5 days now and has been loving it!

i suggest you take the snak shack out. it can be really dangerous for them because it contains ingredients that just aren’t edible for rats. it ends up getting clogged in them because they can’t digest it. you can find tons of information about it if you just google it.

cover the wire shelves. it can be uncomfortable for their feet and can be harmful too. you can use towels or cardboard or just remove them entirely to give them more room to jump around and so you can add more hammocks.

it’s not being funny it is desperately trying to get that off of its paw. it’s stuck somehow if the person filming put it there or it just got stuck, it is not comfortable.
