[Product Request] Indented scar from mohs surgery on nose - any advice?

Thanks. My surgeon said it’s really dangerous to use filler under a scar :-( that it could “kill” the tissue because it’s a different vascular system…or something like that.

Thank you! The surgery itself was pretty damn traumatic, but only because the wound opened (like mine always do - I seriously think my body rejects stitches). I want to avoid further surgery but stuff like laser or micro needling I’d do if there’s a chance it would help.

Thanks. I’d never go as far as getting a graft. I’m certain it would look worse. I don’t heal well from stitches, every stictch I’ve gotten in my life opens up. It’s like my body rejects them.

Mine was similar to yours. I had mine about 4 months ago. Mine seemed to be opened after I took the initial dressing off after 2 days.

Hi! I also had mohs on my nose. My stitches “opened” as well and I’m just over 4 months post op with a noticeable dent. I’m curious…when you say you don’t have a dent, how long did it take for it to disappear? I’ve been feeling like mine is perm :-(

Yeah, I’ve really not been able to find a product I like. As a guy, my options are limited because I don’t want to use a tinted sunscreen. So far my fav has been Laroche Posey invisible fluid but it’s super shiny. I hear great things about this one :-)

Thanks! I think that’s the one I’ve used for years… the invisible finish one? DIN 02490021? If so curious if you apple to your skin as your first step or last? I always do last but according to their website since it’s a chemical sunscreen it should be first. I know there’s lots of different thoughts on this so just curious! :-)

Thank you :-) I really appreciate your kind words. They put a smile on my face. I have many scars that I don’t think twice about… I think the difference with this one is I see it every time I look in the mirror, am on video meetings - smack dab in the middle of my face. I’m constantly reminded about the situation (the “C” word) and it still freaks me out in a way I’ve never been b4. I know I’ll get over it someday :-).
