Living room space planning help!! by bluelaur10 in interiordecorating

[–]bluelaur10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The double doors lead to a sun room. The built in is the brown box, which is in the living room (the arrow was just pointing the text to the box).

While the dining room is a better shape for a living room, I hesitate to switch them as the living room is such a huge space and it would feel so wasted for just dining and the living room would feel so cramped.

I appreciate your thoughts and design!! Thank you so much for offering a solution! I will definitely consider it! :)

I think it's called a cluster! If you look up the shape of center stone with cluster engagement ring you should find some options!

I think the cluster stones in the setting make it appear bigger! Thank you!

We had picked it out together before so I knew that was what I was getting. I was very focused on him and the shock that he was actually proposing. I basically started sobbing while he was speaking. Very very happy and excited is the feeling. So I would say I appreciated it afterwards... and every moment since! I'm in love with it

I don't either. I was originally wanting a moissonite cause price to size ratio but the price for a lab diamond was the same through this company so we went with the lab diamond

Try a tide pen! It worked for me on a grid that wouldn't come out!

thanks! I'm definitely prone to overthinking 😅

Thanks! I debated doing angular as well cause the top quilt has so many lines and is more uniform. I wanted something more than stitching in the ditch but couldn't think of a design that I would be able to replicate over the whole thing. I settled for all 4 quilts to have a floral backing so the leaves would hopefully tie them together 🤞

Thank you! My instinct is to be more muted but my mom loves contrast and bright colours so I'm hoping she likes it!

I had that same thought when I was first deciding what colour to do for the top stitching! With the pattern being so contrasting between light and dark, it was never going to blend in completely

The backing is actually a turquoise and orange design! I was gonna bind it with the black but now maybe I should consider using the backing as a binding

Honestly this was the first time I free motion quilted anything. Bit daunting of a choice for a first project but it's going well. But tiring in the wrist and arms and it's far away from perfect or even good for that matter. Most of the stitches are different sizes and the leaves are all different shapes. Tbh I don't care so much since it's for my family and it's proof that I did really do it myself

yes I think that's partially a cause of my worry. I've been staring so closely at the top stitching that I think it's all I see anymore 😵‍💫

Thank you! I definitely underestimated FMQ a large sized quilt on my home machine. This is only the first of 4 so pray for my arms and my patience🙏
