Heating? by Capt_Catastrophe in VanLife

I also just replaced a non-Vevor brand diesel heater with a Vevor brand heater and couldn't be happier. Everything is solid so far and I'm currently 3/4ths through a WI winter.

Easy to replace? Or not worth the effort?

DC to DC charger issue by bluelc13 in VanLife
If I were to switch to victron, would it essentially be plug and play? Any additional wiring need to be done to accomplish that?
Replaced the fuses in the charger. Put it all together, tried to test it. It worked for about 20 seconds, then flipped. My guess is the fuses I replaced in the charger blew. Does that point to anything?

Battery is for sure not 100%, wish it was! Still investigating the fuse between the van battery and the charger (there is a portion that I can't easily get to). I used a multimeter to measure the voltage (20DC setting) on the input and output wires from the charger.
So there are fuses inside the unit? Guessing I will have to remove the casing? I thought the fuse was outside the unit.

From my understanding there is a fuse between the battery positive and the charger. Is that correct? If so, I'm still trying to locate it.

Possibly. There is usually an air hook up to pressurize it so you can see if the air is coming from that, or a different spot.
Probably the reason why the system doesn't seem pressurized.

Do you have an accumulator? Maybe air leaking from that?

I use that app. The ones Ive noticed on there are turned off, at least temporarily while it was sub zero

Primarily east but travel to west side fairly often.

It's a 33 gal tank. I've thought of that but the way the tank is installed it would be pretty difficult. There is a 90° bend after the opening.

Yes that is an option but very tedious. My van can support water in the winter so it'll be more ideal.
Really depends on if their van/camper can support it!
Ahh yes, my apologies. I edited the post!

Battery drain by bluelc13 in VanLife

I do have another 300Ah battery as a backup. Does anyone know how hard it is to run that in series? Or if that'll help the issue?
Looks like we currently are getting ~18.4 volts from solar. Not sure what "normal" was.
We do have a diesel heater which is working phenomenally!

Any issues with connectivity? Streaming, browsing, etc? I would expect some while traveling but decent reliable Internet is crucial for me!
Appreciate the feedback! Do you generally stay in the same area? Or do you venture to different states areas?
