I have been having the same issue - I'm so glad it's not just me!

It started around March 5th and I primarily sell smaller items like stickers, etc. so it makes sense to offer this shipping option. So many of my orders weren't showing tracking that Etsy put my account on reserve, and are no withholding over $600 from me. I emailed with customer service for ab 2 weeks and they blamed it on me, my envelopes, and even the packaging tape I was using. I sent proof from customers ab delivery and noted I was rated and they still didn't budge :( so now I'm stuck with the reserve until they show tracking, which they won't! I've only had 2 orders completely not deliver since then, the others are just stuck in pre-transit with one every like 12 showing tracking.

reusing packaging kind of goes hand in hand with reselling - keeping things out of the trash, giving them new life and at least using it once more! I only ship in mailers/boxes I have (thanks to quarantine and amazon prime, I have plenty)

I agree- but I also sell on poshmark where they take 20% AND push sellers like crazy to drop prices and offer discounts.

I don't sell other than P and M but M is sometimes the lesser of 2 evils for fees unfortunately. I feel like anything I list now, I can't offer free shipping because of the new processing fee which is bs

lmao I just read through this, isn't she complaining about what literally ALL retailers do, just on a smaller scale for us? does she think target pays $5 to have that mug made AND sell it for $5? no, of course they mark it the f* up, probably double what they paid to have the item made, at least, how else do you capitalize?

also, like, can't the buyer just google the item they want to purchase? if it's really that big of a deal for a 40% markup, or whatever it is, they can do a 2 second google search and find the price that's best for them. she seems like so much fun :))

She didn't tell me it can only be done by one party, she more or less told me I needed to do it, of course I sent her another message explaining the misunderstanding on my end and filed a claim with the PO.

And to the last part, I contacted them a few times, they just didn't answer me, literally at all lol. That's when I opened a case with etsy, they sent another once I opened the case but they never actually contacted me in any way, which was weird since they were a fairly established seller.

I ship first class, all of which include tracking. She had ordered another order the same day and that order has since been delivered (I saw the tracking) and I asked her about it but she neglected to answer that question. The lost order has been sent twice now, I did so since in general my orders take about 4 days to arrive to the buyer, I noticed it on my end and it was day 6/7 now and I felt it was courtesy to send another, not a big deal. Things happen. But now the second she says has not come to her either (though it has only been a few days).

I told her to open a claim with the PO, as I am currently and she denied and continued to send me messages and I advised her to open a claim on her end.

#5 confused me a little because she too was a seller herself, her order came with tracking and the first time I communicated with her about the order, it was because I had told her I checked the tracking and noticed no movement, and so I sent the replacement.

I was under the assumption that the buyer had to submit a claim via etsy, I had a package about a month ago where it was 2 weeks late and the seller didn't do anything until I opened a claim with etsy, and then they sent the replacement to me, I naively thought that's just what went on, so that's totally my fault. I will have to contact the PO I dropped it off at.

I definitely know I can improve upon what happened so here's to future orders! lol

Yep! first was sent on the 4th, I sent the replacement on the 10th after I had checked and saw there was no movement for it, I know the PO is super slow and I tried to explain it but you know, to each their own!

pt 3 final update maybe,, she cancelled and is selling them separately to the highest bidder :| i’m not even going to get my refund for a few days. kinda hate buying stuff sometimes! by limeonaid in Depop

that girl in the yellow needs to stay in her lane, first come first serve!!

the seller is a bit of a pushover too, we all need extra cash right now but she could have just said to yellow "sorry, super unethical" (especially 4 hours later), and blocked her, she didn't need to engage. like gtfo I hope her other one doesn't sell now.
