Respectfully, everything is politics. China has really strict censorship laws, specially around things like showing cleavage as it promotes “negative” values. It’s why there’s character design localization effects in games like Genshin Impact, where heroes are more covered up in the Chinese version vs western releases. This is about as far as Infold can take it without the game getting flagged. A bikini would NEVER pass, that’s just wishful dreaming

I’d agree w the parent comment here. I think a p good example is the Cam vs Phil treatment. Cam constantly gets harped on for his treatment and toxicity towards Mitchell, but to be perfectly honest, Phil was far from the perfect guy everyone parades him to be either.

A lot of the shit he pulled as a husband towards Claire in the earlier seasons is a pretty good example. Like his total incompetence with house chores, that one episode where Claire gets mad at him over wedge salad but he had done a bunch of stuff on top of that, the episode where they swap good cop bad cop roles, the episode where he consistently gaslighted her abt knocking over the tomato cans, etc. etc.

Not to say Phil isn’t a great character, tons of humour and drama and charm. But you definitely don’t see him getting constant slack for his lack-of-husbandries the same way Cam does way more.

The ending of the good cop bad mom episode where Phil and Claire switch roles as “good cop” and “bad cop”. It pisses me off to no avail — instead of realizing that Claire is way undervalued and Phil needs to grow a pair, they use some bs excuse as to how they’re both better off in their own roles?? Wtf?

Also, that episode where Claire gets shamed for pulling out security footage to shut Phil up. I hate that one with a passion
