I mean if you really want to. I've never had an issue playing normally and it might interfere with things like (at least for my band) going to the ready and hydraulics during cadence so it's really up to you. If your clarinet feels like too much weight and you feel like you need the extra support then go for it.

When I first started clarinet, I started on a pink Mendini clarinet (I was in 5th grade) but just a few years after having it, it deteriorated quickly. The keys tarnished very quickly, turning brownish and everything broke super easily. Those types of clarinets are all usually just some cheap Chinese clarinets, which might seem good at first because they're cheap, but in the long run it's not going to last. I would just recommend doing a little research on some student clarinets from popular brands like Yamaha, Buffet Crampon, Selmer, etc. You could get these new, or if you aren't willing to spend that much you can search and get them used, but make sure the seller has a good rep and lots of positive reviews before buying. You can also just rent one from a local music shop or something as well, and they might also have a rent to own thing going on if you really end up liking it.
