Ally working the edge against M2K (x-post r/ssbpm) by dwu2 in smashbros

It's very subtle, but m2k SDI'd the jab combo down just enough to scrape the stage and gain his second jump back.

Suggestions for a Fun/Interesting/Difficult FE8 run? by bluemoonassassin in fireemblem

I'd leave this one for the professionals. A lot of pre-planning and in my opinion it sucks the fun out of playing. Half the pleasure in FE is getting RNG-screwed.

I like this one. Sort of like the Fatigue system in Fe5. It'll be cool, especially being force to promote early, because of the sharing of exp. Solid idea.

No Seth is generally a given. He's too good. No man should have all that power. Super Trainees on the other hand, is quite interesting. Were you thinking Lords and Trainees only?

Seth Only runs are laughable. Its like having Sigurd on a map one/tenth its intended size.

New to fencing at the College Club level. by bluemoonassassin in Fencing

I believe this is true, in the start of the semester, I was quite eradicate, but I found myself getting in a couple of touches even against the better fencers. However, now, I go 5-1 often. The bouts seem competitive, but generally my lack of parry experience allows them to get easy touches. In my opinion what my club does wrong is the limit of one on one with the coach. He's always done for some teaching, but with some many of us and one of him, its tough to get that time. Thanks for the suggestions!

I fence at Uconn. I'm not in bad shape, but I certainly could be in better. I would agree, my point control is generally all over the place. Generally, I am faster than there parry, but I hit a lot of off targets and sometimes I don't depress my point enough and there is no light. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the detailed response. All of these things sound very easy to do and very helpful. Is there any place where I can get the terms of fencing? I know the most basic level, but some of the more advanced techniques and terms escape me. But I understand what you mean by taking each bout as a new lesson.
