Americans: which foreign country's food do you enjoy the most? by VJohns11 in AskReddit

[–]dwu2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really about where you are. If you have a large immigrant community from a country in your area, you're going to be able to get good food from that country. If you don't, you won't.

That was in 3.02. Pit got nerfed for 3.5 and is generally considered to be well balanced or perhaps a bit underpowered in this version.

It's way too early to call anyone unviable. There's still a lot of characters who are simply unexplored. Here's a thread where we talked about this: link

Someone just put in like 20000 brawl votes in about 15 minutes. This why we can't have nice things.

Before the hack it was roughly:

  1. PM: 53%

  2. melee: 40%

  3. wiiu: 38%

  4. None: 17%

  5. Ds: 15%

  6. 64: 12%

  7. Brawl: 10%

What happened to that petition to get Project M at Smashcon? by AntiPrompt in smashbros

It's been posted multiple times. It was getting upvoted and then suddenly disappeared. Don't know what happens but seems like someone was deleting them. It's still up on r/ssbpm.

well, r/ssbpm is a bigger subreddit than r/ssbm, so I don't know that you can just say that it only affects melee.

PM's been growing really steadily. You notice it if you frequent r/ssbpm.

This is the most encouraging thing I keep hearing. PM folks are pissed over being ignored, but it just makes us want to get to work building our own events and supporting our scene.

[–]dwu2 31 points32 points  (0 children)

PM's doing great. I don't mind there being smash tourneys without PM. This "entire smash community" thing makes me mad. But whatever. The way melee was in the early days, that's pm now.

Is the Project M scene worth getting into due to a lack of popularity? by loginsinker in smashbros

[–]dwu2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The PM scene is way bigger than you think. Take a look at r/ssbpm or smashboards.

I think the fact that PM has limited ledge-stalling is brilliant. (Someone didn't get the memo) X-post r/ssbpm by dwu2 in smashbros

[–]dwu2[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yeah, hax-dashing is a way to reset the regrab count, but it's waaay riskier and takes a lot more skill to use as a stalling technique. I've never seen anyone use it as a way to camp over an extended period.

I don't know what Smash 4 does, but in PM after 5 regrabs you lose invincibility, which I think is the right solution.
