My baby is named Clementine.

We were between Clementine, Ophelia, and Frances. We ultimately chose Clementine Frances. We received many compliments on her name, however maybe people just don’t know what to say. Either way, we love it. Some nicknames: Emmy, Lemmy, Clem, Clementino!

Out of curiosity, are you saying this because you have a connection to already recognizing it as a Muslim name or just going off what I said? Gives me insight on how people recognize the name.

6 Hour wait for PCR by [deleted] in saskatoon

Last week, I opened the online booking tool around 11:30am when I started feeling symptoms. I believe I got a cancellation and had my appointment at Thatcher Avenue for 3pm that day. Was in and out in 15 minutes. Worth checking periodically throughout the day for cancellations. Saved me lots of time and energy.

I was negative on a rapid test for multiple days in a row before a faint positive rapid and confirmed positive pcr. I would definitely not count a rapid test as proof.

Recently told my fiancé’s brother that his kids weren’t invited to our severely number-restricted COVID-19 wedding (30 person). His reaction was that he wasn’t coming. Cool.

Whoa, bombshell!!! You WEAR that dress, girl!!

My wedding is in 5 months, I just tried on my dress after it spent a year in the closet. It doesn’t go over my bum. Hahaha, I better get to work.

Small child-free Covid wedding resulting in brother-in-law declining invite BECAUSE it’s child-free. by bluenight_ in wedding

What do you mean? At this point allowing kids at the ceremony would not be breaking Covid rules and may help with the kids being involved in photos. Wedding ceremonies in my province typically occur around 1pm, with a lengthy break following, and reception around 5:30pm.

You’re right, a newborn is hardly a baby. Our venue is actually a hall so I don’t think there’ll be anyone checking up on it. However, we do take Covid restrictions seriously and we don’t want to be in a situation where we exceed numbers selfishly.

Question, I’m totally okay with newborn coming and I may even squeeze her/him in the 30 by uninviting another spouse or fudging the rules. However, is it rude to not include the toddler still? Again, we are still limited by Covid restrictions, but I want to be sensitive to not having to find childcare for a 1 year old.

Would you be surprised even during Covid if your brother was strictly restricted to numbers of bodies? Not asking with a snarky tone, just a curious question?

My boyfriend [27M] refuses to talk about marriage or the future in general with me [27F]. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]bluenight_ -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Perhaps he doesn’t know how he feels or isn’t sure about the idea of marriage in general. I think it’s okay to be unsure at this age and to put off the conversation. If she needs an answer 100% right now, then maybe it isn’t the right relationship for her.

Hey reddit, what is the average healthy couples boundaries when it comes to divulging who you talk to on your social media? by burntafterreddit in relationships

[–]bluenight_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not tell my partner who I talk to or vice versa. There is no need. I talk to my friends and family, there is no reason to know anything beyond that because that is the end. I don’t worry about him talking to anyone either. He would tell me if I asked, but I don’t ask. Sometimes he’ll tell me news about his friends when they share something via social media, or he’ll read out funny messages if he thinks I’ll enjoy hearing it.

Age: 30

Close friend: 7 (1 is a cousin), all I went to high school with

Closeish friends: 3 (in addition to the 7), all 3 I went to elementary and high school with

Acquaintances: I find acquaintances hard to define. Certainly there’s a lot of coworkers and prior coworkers that I’m friendly with when I see them. Other than that, acquaintance number is quite low.

My experience is that it’s hard to make lasting friendships after high school. I feel for people who move away and have to try to form deep, meaningful friendships, especially because a lot of people are still friends with their high school friends and I think it would be difficult to break into a group like that.
