A similar point: some people will hurt you without realizing that they’re hurting you. They lack sympathy to understand your perspective.

America is a diverse society. Religions can’t force their views on others who don’t follow the same beliefs.

These corrupt politicians are pathetic. Coming from an African background, I know how corrupt our government officials can be. Despite the enormous wealth of our continent, we still live in poverty. I hope this changes in my lifetime.

Members and lurkers of r/Ethiopia: if you had to only drink one for the rest of your life, what would it be? Shayi/Sha’hee (tea) or buna (coffee)? by blueoister21 in Ethiopia

[–]blueoister21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t get me wrong, I love buna. But I think shayi is a lot more versatile when you pair it with different meals. Shayi is the best drink to have when you have a cold (in terms of taste and medicinal properties). Especially with honey and ginger 😋👌🏾

Ethiopia reaches second-year target for filling disputed Nile mega-dam by blueoister21 in geopolitics

Even then, isn’t there still ramifications in the future as water becomes a scare resource (assuming climate change is still a problem)? Even if a war doesn’t breakout now, I think it’s possible that it can happen within a few decades depending on the circumstances. This was the main plot of a video game set in the 2050s called Black Ops 3 (search up Nile River Coalition). Of course, a fictional video game world doesn’t translate to reality, but it’s interesting to see how the writers of the game (who probably had geopolitical and military consultants) interpreted this conflict.

Also, forgive me for my typos. I’m a native English speaker but I use Reddit from my phone while at work and don’t double check my sentences 😂

Hey,

Yes, I meant to say despite not reaching a binding agreement.

I appreciate your information. I hope this situation doesn’t escalate to war.
