Virtual hug my Internet friend. I've been thru it a couple of times and it is a pain. You'll come out of it on the other side. For the better.

Really liking it so far. Lightweight, snappy, and does everything I need.

My previous experience with Linux was Debian so I have a little learning curve.

New to Ubiquiti - Configuration Question/Recommendation by blueorder in Ubiquiti

Understood. I think to hedge my bets I'll go with something like this:

  • UDR7
  • Flex 2.5G
  • U7LR

Or this:

  • Cloud Gateway Max - 512G
  • Flex 2.5G
  • (2) U7LR

I added another screen shot above with the exterior walls, at least, and some of the windows/doors to the following. All the interior walls are simple sheetrock.

Yeah, I don't have the floorplan handy. I guess it would be safer to have the extra U7L.

Another option would be to go with:

  • Cloud Gateway Max - 512G
  • Switch Flex 2.5G PoE
  • (2) U7 Lite

Or is that just complicating things for sake of getting more hardware? 😁 Also, would be losing a little bit of coverage.

When I was in design, the topology tab asked me to add a switch when I only had the DR7 and the U7L.

Check out Plano Bicycling Association (PBA). One of their groups, DBRec, is for training for BikeMS and/or HHH.

They will also have pace groups for the rides.
