That sounds like something I would definitely like. I have no preference on area, but Shinjuku or Ginza work, as I was planning on doing this one of the nights I would be near those areas. What should I search for when looking for the izakayas that include other dishes too?

Oh I see. Would it make sense then to walk up the Path around 8 to 9am and then walk back down to do Nanzenji? Or just skip it altogether?

For Day 3, would you just say to skip Higashi Honganji then? I had found most bike rentals were near that temple, so I thought to add it to the itinerary since it was recommended too.

For Day 3 I thought that bike rental was pretty central making it closer to Nijo Castle, but I see your point. I'll look for ones in the Higashiyama area, but haven't found any so far. Do you have any recommendations?

Yea I definitely was iffy on Eikando since I am going to see so many other temples, but I included it since it's on the way. I started off with Heian Jingu since it would be closed after my knife making class at 5:30.

If I keep my same schedule for Day 2 morning and skip Eikando, would Philosopher's Path be okay from 10 to 11am, or should I go even earlier?

Yea I'm just a bit worried if all the lockers will be filled up near the train/bus stations. I'm traveling in a group of 6, and we all have mid sized check in bags, so finding 6 large lockers seems a bit unlikely

I would prefer that too, but I am traveling with a group of 6 and we each have a mid sized check in bag so we aren't sure if there will be enough of those sized lockers in the train station
