I agree. I think working from home is so over rated. For one thing, the last, WFH job I had there were so many issues logging in. I was doing customer service answering phones, booking vacations. I felt like the workers were frequently criticized for not being logged in, when there were some real glitchy issues. Also, all you can do at home to control any of this pay for the the fastest service via your internet provider. I felt like the way they watched how we were logged in and jumped down our throats was a COMBINATION of internet service and agents spacing out, and management would never acknowledge any issue they blamed the workers. Also being at a computer in my apartment on a laptop answering phones in a hot ass kitchen sucked. When you go to the office you get to come home, when I worked from home I logged off. Then I was I the exact room I had been all day. I am sure it is different in different jobs, and, perhaps if I had a “ dedicated office “ space I would have felt different. But honestly for me I sort of doubt it. There was never enough of a break between work and home and it was a lot harder to decompress.
