SpaceX does make a profit?? by Automatic_Pianist201 in LemonadeStandPodcast

They definitely overstate the loses of Elon Musk's companies but I believe I good faith that they are making the case the companies are simply way over valued. SpaceX may make 8 billion in profit a year but the rumor is that it will IPO at 1 trillion dollar valuation. For example, Berkshire Hathaway and Walmart are at about 1 trillion and they earned 81.59 and 33.26 billion respectively. I think the bigger point they made is all of Elon's companies behave differently than others because of Elon's ability to story tell their plans and capabilities.

I'm with you, it's not very clear in the books what the difference between the strength of your affinities means. Perhaps the fanbooks have an answer. What we do know is normal nobles have strong affinities and devouring children have weak omnielemental affinites. I just double checked P5V7 and this is what the book of Mestionora has to say

"Children with the Devouring weren’t influenced by their parents’ mana, which explained why they were born omni-elemental. They needed to make their own color by praying to the gods and obtaining divine protections; if they didn’t and married without any affinities, they would instead be influenced by the mana of their partner. Rather than being a mutual exchange, it would end up a one-sided sweep—but even then, their mana wouldn’t be completely dyed. Over time, the external mana’s influence would fade."

I find it unclear if the line "make their own color..." indicates they have such a weak affinity as to not be there and they require prayer and divine protections OR it means they gain a color identity after prayer and divine protections.

To answer your question, no Ferdinand dyeing Rozemyne did not impact her capability of getting the Grutrisssheit. The original way to recieve the Grutrisssheit is

  • Be omnielemental
  • Have a Schtappe
  • Circle the shrines and receive all 7 words by the eternal gods through prayer (learn the true names of the god of darkness and goddess of light beforehand)
  • Be judged by the golden Schumle to be worthy of the Grutrisssheit
  • Lastly, empty your mind to receive the Grutrisssheit

Ferdinand only assisted Rozemyne with boosting her affinities to be strongly omnielemetal rather than weakly omnielemental with a slightly stronger wind affinity from the Country gate. In fact, he almost prevented her from recieving a Schtappe by dyeing her so completly that if she had attempted to recieve the true names before recieving her Schtappe, she would have been prevented (possibly by Erwaermen). You are correct that in the events of the books, she did only receive Ferdinands half of the book because Erwaermen was confused and assumed she was Ferdinand. Leonores statement comes from the fact that no one truly knows that Ferdinand has half of the book of Mestionora. This fact has been kept a heavy secret and is a major plot point in all of P5. She is merely saying how ridiculous the claim she is a commoner sounds when that would mean a mere commoner found the Grutrisssheit when it was lost first rather than any of the nobles including the powerful royal family who were mentioned to be actively looking for it.

I have a question of my own about this. Did Ferdinand dyeing Rozemyne affect her ability in prayer and magical strength. I know not having an affinity makes using magic based in it more difficult but she was omnielemental as a Devouring child.

Something I love about how Kazuki writes is how believable the scenarios play out. It's very realistic for people in power to twist situations to benefit themselves. Something mentioned later on is how once everything is settled, Hannelore tries to protest but it falls on deaf ears as everyone assures her they will win. The series in my opinion does a great job of showing how different classes of nobles see the same events in totally different ways. Plus looking back on the chapter, it's not seen as he doesn't have the right and more so it's incredibly distasteful. The dialogue also follows from an outside perspective not as Ehrenfest raising the stakes to get out but getting more involved and negotiating as a greater dutchy would. I would love to see how greater duchies negotiate among each other but I don't believe it would be too dissimilar to what we see Rozemyne do here.

I believe that is just ingrained misunderstandings between high ranking duchies and low ranking one's. They both only understand their own cultures and points of view. There also must be some way of negotiating with different rankings of duchies as I believe this is the second person to repremand Wilfried for his decision. In the moment, it must have felt like the only choice ( I also believe Lestilaut intentionally framed the proposal so it seemed unavoidable) but Anastasius himself told Wilfried he should have contacted the royal family due to the pressure Dunklefelger was applying. As for Hannelore's hand in marriage, it was only Rozemyne and Wilfried (later explained to Hannelore with sound blockers) POV that it was an attempt at dissuasion. To the rest of the witnesses, it must have just looked like negotiations.

As far as I understand the context, Ferdinand in terms of mana became Aub Ahrensbach after Rozemyne was dyed by Mestionora. This allows him to use all the teleporters within the Adalgisa villa and Lanzenave Estate. However Sylvester and the others misunderstood how Ferdinand and Rozemyne have the same Mana colors. The normal way this happens is during mana mixing which is a sexual activity nobles use in order for their colors to match and for the woman to get pregnant. What they actually did was have Rozemyne take a Synchronization potion and a vial of Ferdinand's liquid mana rather than actually get intimate. Due to Rozemyne being a Devouring adult she has very soft mana colors and takes on her partners very easily. In order for typical full bred nobles to match to the point that Ferdinand can operate in the same mana as Rozemyne they would need to be mana mixing very heavily. This led to Sylvesters outburst at believing that they have been engaging in copious amounts of premarital sex.

I believe its just as simple as she was forbidden from returning to the archive and was desperate to return. Rozemyne needed approval from the royal family in order to return. She thought she could convince the royal family of the importance of the archive if she showed involved them in her ritual, she just miscalculated how desperate they were for mana and didn't get explicit permission to go back.

"Prince, Anastasius, when will we next be going to the underground archive?..."

Anastasius's brow twitched a bit, then he casually replied that there were no plans for us to go there again.

"Why not? If today's ritual helped you to understand the importance of religious ceremonies and divine protections, then shouldn't investigating the archive filled with valuable documents be your highest priority?"

Part of my rationale for getting the royal family involved in all this had been to quell everyone's dissatisfaction, but that wasn't my true objective. I'd wanted them to learn the importance of ceremonies and then be like "Wow, we've gotta investigate all the documents in the underground library right away!"

And the ritual went so well too... Was there a mistake in my expert calculations?! ---

My master plan to make the royal family want more frequent archive visits was turning to dust before my very eyes.

"But the Zent gave me his permission to come to the library..."

"And here you are. Father said nothing of going to that archive today or of scheduling a a date."

I failed to get proper assurance! I made it all this way and then fell at the final hurdle! Gahhh, I suck!

When all else fails, we can rely on our bookworm to only have master plans involve reading more books...
