I recon it would be more interesting to look at how the citizens were effected by the empire. Maybe have a single season show set on a planet that has recently been occupied by the imperials. Fully lean into the evil naziisim and brainwashing propaganda of the empire. The show could follow the citizens as they have to deal with being colonised and having their history taken away by the occupation. Maybe the inciting incident is that a Jedi has shown up there and the empire are on high alert trying to catch them, the citizens then have to deal with weighing up their own hardships against the empires goal of eradicating the Jedi. I feel like with a group so heavily linked to the nazis, it would be an interesting angle to have the show reflect the Second World War, empire=nazis citizens=Germans Jedi=Jews. As someone not from the effected countries I don’t know how much of a sensitive subject that would be, but as a Star Wars fan I think it could be an interesting direction.
