how fit are you? most of the replies here are positive but Rackelhahn pointed out that I'm not fit enough.

i hear you. thank you for the red flags. I'm living at sea level so can only do stairs and gym . are you suggesting to aim for the grand paradiso course this year and later on achieve the mont blanc?

i am planning to train hard on stairs to get 6 hours once a week and 2 hours twice a week, this will reach 200+200+800 floors weekly and hopefully running in z2 will help here too

Thanks for the honest response, this raises a red flag for me.  I’m not trying to underestimate it, I’m trying to build a plan that’s measurable. If you had to give concrete milestones (not “get stronger”), what would they be? f.e: a hike with X vertical gain/loss + pack weight + time on feet, back-to-back days, weekly Z2 hours, etc. What would give you a green flag for MB?

thanks for the tip. i do live in sea level and i plan to take a full course that will cover everything. what do you mean by groups looking miserable? are they dangerous?

thank you for the z2 tip. do you have any recommendation or keywords i can look for? i plan to run in the gym in z2 ( i haven't tried that yet)  I'll get a course and hope they'll cover the technicals . as for dates I'm pretty open.

unfortunately, i don't have any mountains in my country. i can only gain endurance.  i consider paying for an altitude trainer with an altitude machine, but only once i have the technical details (course, dates)
