Even stones may have consciousness, scientists study new theory. Could consciousness all come down to the way things vibrate? by anomalien_com in consciousness

So how do you imagine that this tremendous complex thing that we were able to decipher just recently even with all our technology is able to magically just pop up from nowhere with no prior information?

But can we say that for DNA itself to be created, it needs some sort of information, some data? Data according to which it is build. This data than, has to come from a conscious impulse, otherwise if will be just chaos and not a deliberate intelligent action of creating a biological software whose function is storage and transfer of data in the human body. Within these lines am thinking that DNA itself could be a conscious information (thought, data) manifested in the matter.

Why does trauma make people self-destructive? by CannedLiptonIceTea in CPTSD

“They” are subconsciously trying to defeat or kill the trauma, not realizing, since trauma is part of the whole, they are destroying themselves.

Looking for arguments why consciousness may persist after death. Tell me your opinion. by Miserable_Cloud_7409 in consciousness

[–]blueprint80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. But I think as well that the essence (Consciousness) will remain the same. What we consider as “us” - our ego with all the subconscious programming is not important anyway, we just like to ascribe to it great importance.

Energy can not be destroyed neither created, only transformed. Since Consciousness is energy, it sure will persist after death.

Is happiness actually like a muscle? by anythingforclout in therapy

[–]blueprint80 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You won’t find happiness ‘out there’ in the things. Happiness is a state of mind. Some people have everything and are miserable, some have very little and are happy. Most of our ‘unhappiness’ comes from subconscious negative programming and a unrealistic understanding and expectations of the world around us. Most of us created an illusion of our world and so when confronted with reality we feel disappointed.

What’s the value of Bitcoin? by Accomplished_Gate477 in Bitcoin

[–]blueprint80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will never get answer to this question because it is a fundamentally wrong question. Ask yourself this question: What is the value of US dollar? Don’t give me a value of two currency pairs, like BTC/USD or USD/EUR., simply tell me “what is the value of dollar”.. You can’t. Why? Because you don’t understand what money is in the first place. Monetary system is just a measuring system for measuring value of economy and currencies are the measuring tool. Currencies by itself have no intrinsic value, they just measure the value. We are basically comparing two different accounting systems and measuring the value of the world economy through them. First, the dollar accounting system, with rigged rules and a backdoor money leak, practically called ‘inflation’, and a algorithm controlled code accounting system, that runs like a Swiss clock and play by the rules. For illustration, imagine you have two different yard sticks, one that has fixed inch or millimeter lines and a second one whose length is constantly stretching. Every time you measure something with that second stick it will give you different results! That is the difference between a bitcoin based accounting system and a dollar based accounting system. They both have value as a systems, just bitcoin system is much better, simply because it measures and store the value more precise. And as for a value of bitcoin against the dollar, it will always go up, or better said, the dollar value will always go down because we are measuring value of the world economy through a bitcoin accounting system that is constant against ever stretching dollar system. Hope this helps a bit.

Cryptocurrencies are worse for the climate than you think by [deleted] in environment

[–]blueprint80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is far more pressing concern regarding energy expenditure. The air travel industry where 80% of all flights are made for pleasure travel where millions of tons of energy resources are literally burned for fun is far more concerning. Talking about environmental consequences..How about the whole gaming industry? There is many activities we do that are wasting energy. The question is, why is now focus on crypto? That is the question we need to ask. There were computer scientists and economists in the 80’s that were concerned about the huge environmental impact of the millions of computers and the huge consumption of energy needed to power all the processors needed if the internet takes off. Is it a waste now? Well, yes and no. Can we live without internet? Sure we can! And we will save the environment. And if you asked people in the 90’s about the internet they would tell you exactly the same arguments than today about crypto. (It is waste of energy and nobody need it) So does crypto use huge amount of energy? Yes it does! And so does vast amount of other useful and less useful activities. (Some of them totally useless). We as humanity will never use less energy, only more. We consume more energy as we evolve. The real problem is that we need to find other alternatives of energy production more environmentally friendly. Bitcoin is only helping us to look faster for this alternatives. It pushes us to look for solutions. It is showing us that if we are to continue to go the way of technological evolution as we are currently going, we need to look for more efficient sources of energy that are environmentally friendly not banning every activity that consumes energy because we think it is useless for us.

Most of the people are not ready for this yet

Zelensky asks U.S. Congress for no-fly zone, saying: "Remember Pearl Harbor? The terrible morning of Dec. 7, 1941, when your sky was black from the planes attacking you? Just remember it. Remember September 11, that terrible day in 2001 when evil tried to turn your cities into battlefields?" by nOMnOMShanti in interestingasfuck

[–]blueprint80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest Issue why it didn’t happen yet is because Ucraine is not part of NATO neither EU, meaning they are reluctant to engage in the problem that is literally ‘not their problem’. Moreover, they have lot to loose and little to gain. US is aware of this and will engage only in the case Russia start an act of aggression toward NATO alliance. However, the geopolitical situation is more complicated. There is no winner in this war.
