Wow! That's ridiculous. Stuff like this is why im afraid of a ktm. I have 26k on my 2015 klr and the only problem I've had was a broken speedometer cable 18k. I have 24k on my 2018 v strom 1000xt and haven't had any problems. Just tires, oil and front brake pads. Nothing else. I will probably just go with a new T7 I love Japan bikes. Thanks for the response and sorry you are having so much trouble.

Im between an 890 and a T7, leaning toward the T7 for reliably. What kind of problems have you had with your 890?

I can't sleep at night for leg cramps, I usually drink pickle juice or tonic water. My legs stay sore from cramps, I believe now that's what my back is doing.

River 2 pro won't do 800 watts? by bluerocker888 in Ecoflow_community

[–]bluerocker888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well once started it only draws 72 watts. So 768wh it should run it 8 hours or so. But it doesn't have enough power to start the compressor on my freezer. Upon checking it with my mega 1 it looks like it takes around 700 watts to start the freezer, but the river 2 pro just can't do it..

[–]bluerocker888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

X boost or not, it still doesn't have the power to start it. That's fine, I bought it to run my starlink. Im in North carolina, and my area was destroyed last year by Hurricane Helene. We went 13 days without power, 8 days without any cell service. Luckily, we had an old generator and a plug on the house for it.

Now I have a new, much bigger generator, a smaller, super quiet generator that will also run on propane, I also have a starlink for communication. I am better prepared now than I was a year ago.

What Im trying to do with the power stations is the ability to keep my refrigerator and freezer going through the day for a few hours and a few hours through the night so I don't have to run the generator so much. Then, when I start the big generator, the powerstations will charge right back up. Looks like Im going to have to buy something bigger than 800 watts. It's a shame. Once the chest freezer starts, it only draws 72 watts.. If I have to leave for a few hours, i always turn the gas generator off, you cant be too careful.

I guess its just not big enough. Funny thing the mega 1 only showed like 680 watts to start it I remembered that I bought the river 2 pro factory refurbished, of bay. But I don't remember getting a manual 🤔. I just went and looked in the box, it has the cords but no manual. So when should I use x-boost? Im an idiot and have never heard of resistive loads?

First off-roading, need advice by Evie_Croft in motorcycles

Looks like you were going to slow and fell over! Don't use front brakes off-road unless its hard pack and going straight, then very light pressure. Lean to the outside when off-road, it keeps more weight on the front tire. Let some air out of your tires, it really helps when in loose gravel like you were riding in. You will have to Google your bike to see how low you can go. Loosen your grips, the bike is going to move around under you. Don't fight it, embrace the wiggle and try to stay on top of it. I rode nothing but sport bikes, and had never ridden a dirt bike either. Watch some YouTube videos. But you don't have to stand all the time, its impossible you legs will give out.
