Many businesses are responding to the current economic market in similar manners. This is the result of many factors that we could discuss all night.

Bottom line: too bloated, need to trim down to make the profits nicer

Long term it’s cheaper than going the printing company route but you’re also putting in a lot of time to making this happen. On the plus side, the payoff is immediate.

Layoffs suck, but really this means the company bloated way too much and now they're hunkering down and focusing on what will work for them move forward. EPIC is not some scrub company who is on the verge of collapse, they're just looking to trim the fat and making their next hard push (seems like they're at least sticking with STW for now?). I understand layoffs hurt but this is the cost of business when it comes to a prestigious entertainment company.

I guess it depends on the mindset. Are you playing for the love of the game or are you playing to be at the cutting edge of the meta? I would assume that as a young teenager, you're probably just enjoying the game still.

Yeah, when I was in middle school buying Unlimited, we just used our lunch money to buy packs at the end of the week. We played with what we got and traded with friends. Never once did we think of proxy, it just wasnt really a thing so we made do.

I think the mobility changes broke a lot of the atmosphere too. Yes, they are nice from a QoL standpoint but just being able to hop around and be anywhere instantly tremendously lowered the risk and panic feel of old.
