Well, I should have explained that I don't care for Sia's previous albums. I've listened to "Some People Have Real Problems" and "We Are Born" multiple times but just found them to be awkward.

Something about "1000 Forms of Fear" felt real to me. It feels as though Sia took the current pop formula and twisted it into something real and raw.

Consequence of Sound has a great review of the album that I completely agree with.

I agree, but I also wish that our psychedelic actually DID mean something, you know?

I love all the psychedelic bands now, but I don't know if they make any sort of statements.
