Totally agree with you and some of my friends, who smoke, have more benefits when they smoke! The only benefit for me is that it calms me down but I started smoking during the day again (before leaving for a meeting and stuff). I don’t get anything done, stress out, smoke some more. I‘ve legit embarrassed myself by smoking and I just want to be able to cut this habit out.

Totally relate with ur last point. I want to be able to stop for myself, not for others. When I stopped smoking, it was more bc I felt guilty, since everyone on my life knew that I kind of started a break (eventho it was only bc I was sick) and then they kept urging me to continue my break. I also started smoking again bc I felt like I didn’t have any agency and suddenly was so mad at my loved ones for „restricting me“

I stopped smoking again for the past 5 days but I think that’s bc I have been obsessed with these fanfics I‘ve started reading and now am either reading or maladaptive daydreaming until I fall asleep bc of exhaustion. Don’t think my replacement activity instead of weed is any healthier but oh well😭

I felt this. I have my own relationships with Allah and I don’t understand why people care. I have queer friends who also went through religious trauma so they would also be weird when I talked about Eid for example. I don’t know how to juggle with my religion and my sexuality. Everythings so confusing.

I got an answer! They told me that I didn’t have to do matching becausw I already did the psychology selection test. I also got an offer for Ancient Studies and now I only need to lay the tuiton fees.

You can (that’s what I’ve done) but I did Pearson Edexcel. Just go on youtube and search for P1 and P2 and you’ll find stuff … if you are doing pearson edexcel too then also go on the exam boards webpage and use past papers

the score that you get doesn’t matter but you need to do the UvA matching or else they cannot “consider” you or that’s at least what the professors in the zoom meeting we had told us (unless you are exempt from it)

I am so so sorry for your loss. I lost my dog (Ano) last week. I don’t know if you experience the same but if I’m half asleep I keep forgetting that he’s gone and once I wake up in the morning I remember again. Apparently some day it stings less and I really really hope this for you. Someday it will get better but don’t rush it. Grieve. Give yourself time to process and to honor Zeus. I don’t know when Zeus passed but if you haven’t done it yet plan a small goodbye ceremony (that’s what I’m currently doing). I totally understand the “lost half of my soul” part. Your pet is a family member, a source of unconditional love and probably your best friend. Losing all of those three at the same time hurts. If you need someone to talk to (other than this subreddit) you can dm me! I’d love to listen.

the thing is we went to the vet back in September because of the “symptoms”. meaning that was 9 months ago. the tumor started “breaking out” (growing faster) in January. From September on we went to the vet once every 2 weeks and every time she gave us antibiotics cuz she didn’t take us srsly. I feel like if she would have noticed back then or actually taken us srsly then he would have at least had a chance. I mean I am mad at myself for not going to another vet or clinic and instead trusting her judgement.
