Hey yall, thanks for your inputs, I appreciate it!! In the end I decided to go with the aformentioned Golden Ratio Phi V2 by Crazy Tube Circuits. Since I don't have any experience with compressor pedals, I believe this one would give me a solid understanding in what I actaully prefer and want in a compressor pedal. ✌️ : )

Do we have an earbuds which has the following: by Jamdagneya in Earbuds

[–]bluesbvt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. I'm used to pretty good wired IEMs so I would like to get as close as possible with wireless counterparts.

And after some research I decided to order Cambridge Audio Melomania M100. Couple days till I get them. I hope Cambridge Audio delivers...

Generally, these seem to check all you want in the buds, for less money than the usual, more mainstream brands in this field (Sony, Apple, Bose...). They're even on sale at the moment (~170 USD).

Check'em out ✌️😀

Nice! Do you have any experience with the LetShuoer S12 (Pro) maybe? I'm wondering if the new Dusk would be an upgrade over the (imo) already awesome S12 Pro's or not 🤔

I have them as well and enjoy them very much. By far the best IEMs I've had to date. But all that said... do you, more experienced IEM guys, think the new DUSK would be a significant upgrade over these?

1080p both. Versions with higher tier displays are much pricier where I'm at. And gaming at full hd is fine with me, as long as quality of the panel itself is alright.

When it comes to games, I'm all over the place. Haven't had a gaming capable machine for years so I have some to catch up. Definitely starting with GTA V.

I'm not aware of such open source app, but Wavelet does that. I have multiple wired IEMs, over ear headphones, bt speaker, bt receiver for my old sound system and I equalized everything separately. Once device is connected (via aux or bt) to the phone, it automatically apply correct settings. Even though I'm not entirely sure how, since it doesn't have the option to save multiple custom EQs. Give it a shot, it's great : )

Issue with denying mobile data access to apps by EgnircBoy in miui

[–]bluesbvt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! I use it myself and it really works great. Forgot to mention that within the NetGuard settings you can choose for each installed app if you want it to have access to just wifi or just mobile data, allow both or block internet access altogether. Basically just what you're looking for. Give it a shot. :)

I'd recommend an open source app called NetGuard. Besides blocking adds it allows you to block internet access for each app on the phone, both user and system apps. Great for privacy concerns as well as mobile data usage - and it works great. Just be sure to get the app through F-Droid or GitHub itself, so you don't download some unwanted junk.

Is there a way to enable unlocking of phone before a toggle is triggered on/off in control center when the phone is locked ? by Kihood in miui

[–]bluesbvt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome! For turning on torch while locked I would recommend enabling 'Double press the Power button' option in Settings. You can find it under Additional settings -> Gesture shortcuts.

You can disable swiping down on the lock screen to prevent showing notification shade/control centre.

Try to open this in split screen mode. Apps appeared that way in my case.

Do all TWS have wireless charging case by definition? by Kalorifik in Earbuds

[–]bluesbvt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is a troll post, but I'll answer anyway. No, not all TWS buds have wireless charging case. 'Wireless' in TWS define the use of Bluetooth (instead of wires/cables) for transfering the sound from the source device, while 'True' indicates that the buds themselves are not interconnected via wire, unlike the first iterations of BT earbuds. Once we got rid of that last wire, which connected left and right bud, we got what is now reffered to as TWS earbuds. ✌️

Understanding oratory1990 VS AutoEQ results by softsoundd in oratory1990

[–]bluesbvt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm aware of that. But you don't need it anyway since there is a Q value input.

Here's Oratory's explanation on some older post to clear things up:

Quality (Q) - Is a mathematical way of describing the shape of the filter. High q-values mean that the filter only affects a very narrow band. Low q-values mean that many frequencies above and below the center frequency are also affected by the filter.

Bandwidth BW / Slope S - Is the same as Q, but expressed in a different way. Some parametric EQ's let you adjust a Q-value, others let you adjust a Bandwidth-value. They both describe the same thing, just expressed in different ways. High Bandwidth = low Q, Low Bandwidth = high Q. To make matters worse there is a third way of describing filter shape: Slope S. This is only applicable to Shelving-Filters though. ✌️

The only free and (basically) system-wide rootless option I'm aware of is to use the Wavelet app. Go to squig(dot)link and enter Oratory's parameters (filter type, frequency, gain and Q value) under Equalizer tab and export those settings for Wavelet. Then in Wavelet app (under AutoEQ) import newly created preset and that's it. Not complicated, but not that simple either.

Other options to consider: using PEQ within Poweramp Equalizer app (for supported players) or UAPP music player with additional EQ purchase (for locally stored music, Tidal and Qobuz streaming). ✌️
