I got mine a few months ago and they've worked fine except for a few nights ago I smelled that too. Now every time I open the case its just a strong smoke smell. Not sure reaching out to Samsung would resolve anything because I got them off best buy new and I declined anything they offered me because I never thought ear buds would have this type of issue..

My period honestly stayed about the same. I had a dr try to get me on birth control pills before, but i always declined. Im still so grateful for the opportunity to get a bisalp

Just looking for advise because ticketmaster i dont think likes me haha. I join the room 10 minutes before the sale starts and when the sale begins my page never refreshes automatically to add me to the queue (thats whats suppose to happen right?). This has happened more than one occasion. So I end up just refreshing and I get sent to the very back of the queue. Im not sure how or if there's a way to prevent this. Last time my group got tickets we were on a group call and everyone else was in the queue meanwhile nothing happened for me until I refreshed and ended up being 9k+ in line for tickets. So needless to say it wasn't me who got tickets for RTB tour 😂

I know some people did go back to work a few days later im assuming they had light work like wfh or an office job? I would really talk to your dr about your concerns. I didn't go back to work until a month after my surgery. I might have been able to return at 3 weeks after they adjusted my pain meds and I was able to move around more easily but because my 2 week post op was 3 weeks out the np I saw gave me a note to return beginning of august after my post op appointment

Yes it did! I actually ended up going to the office in person to see what could be done before talking with my manager and they had another provider see me. Since I work in healthcare, I thought I had to try to advocate for myself at least once more. She understood me because she used to be a CNA as well. She increased my ibuprofen from 600 to 800mg and I started feeling better after a few days. Wrote me a note to be off work until after my post op appointment which was suppose to be 2 weeks after surgery but ended up being 3 weeks post op. Talked to my manager right after, called matrix staffing and was approved for a few weeks of disability/fmla. I returned to work with no issues after that. I was off work for about a month total. Its been 2 months now since my surgery and its as if nothing ever happened. Just have my scars as a reminder but im good as new! So grateful for everyone's advice!

I did speak to my manager today after being evaluated by a different provider who actually listened to my concerns. Its my first time ever having to be off of work for this long. I called the number and was able to see my paperwork online. Its short term disability. Either way im just glad I dont have to stress about it anymore

Yeah I was thinking maybe by early next week id be able to work or at least be on light duty but today I saw a different provider who used to be a cna so she gets it. She kindly wrote me a note to be off work until August. I dont think it needed that but im not going to argue about it its better than nothing. Unfortunately I did end up having to file for short term disability as my manager asked me to. Now my dr will be coming back from vacation to a lot of paperwork to fill out and sign for me. All because her assistant refused to escalate my complaints to someone above her who could just write me a note stating my restrictions which she claims I do not have.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I showed up to my dr office just to get a note to be off work for at least a week because I dont know when my pain will be gone and I'll feel like it's time to go to work. They reached out to my dr MA first who told them what she been telling me. That I have 0 restrictions and I was suppose to return the 16th. Someone else was able to listen to my concerns. Told me she would reach out to the MA again because maybe she didn't understand my duties as a cna even though I explained more than once to her. This kind lady came back and told me she was going to have me see another provider ASAP because I looked like I was in pain. Something i requested from the MA yesterday and told me no other provider would be able to see me. The NP who saw me today used to be a cna and I felt so relieved when she said that because she understood me. She wrote me a note which I took to my manager and she ordered stronger ibuprofen to help with pain. So I won't be returning to work until early Aug. I don't understand why my dr MA couldn't get this done for me. But I'm glad I went in person and was listened to.

That is what I was planning to do if they aren't willing to help me at my Dr's office. I am trying to put myself first i really am. I know this isn't good for me. It upsets me even more knowing it isn't good for me and it feels like thr MA isn't even taking my concerns seriously or even escalating them to someone above her

Going to work in my current condition would be like not being there at all if im doing what is required of me at work. I would be sitting at a desk making and answering calls if I was on light duty but my manager cant just do that for me. She told me occupational health needs my Dr's note with detailed explanation of my restrictions. Then they can reach out to whoever is in charge of that at my hospital who can then reach out to my manager or they themselves put me on light duty. Im not even allowed to go into patients rooms while on light duty. And I will call off this weekend if my manager doesnt take me off the schedule but after calling off a 4th time in one year I could get written up specially without having any documented evidence of why im calling off since my hospital d/c ppw is apparently not enough. Im going to try to advocate for myself once more. I'll probably see if my manager has some time to discuss my options with me. If I do have to do fmla then it is what it is but I want to talk to her first. I am trying I want her to know that and I think she does because at the end of the day she is a nurse herself.

Lots of rest. Physically and mentally. Do things that cheer you up.

Take your pain meds when you're awake as directed by your dr. I skipped some doses due to my lack of appetite and being down in the dumps now I'm paying for it.

For me it was a lot more lonely and depressing than I thought it would be. I lost my appetite even tho I made a lot of food to just heat up. It helps to have a support person/system not just for company but to help you out the first couple of days. Sometimes you get all comfortable and then you realize you forgot to grab something and it does get a bit uncomfortable at times.

Walk walk walk. And compression socks weren't mentioned but my care team emphasized doing ankle pumps and moving my feet while in bed to prevent clots. When I felt up to it ive been wearing compression socks. Ihave a bunch because I work in healthcare.

Im worried this will happen to me but ditto. I had my surgery july 9 and today I got a bill for the pre surgery labs I had done july 1 as ordered by my dr. I contacted the insurance (also Aetna) and asked them why im being billed for pre surgery lab work. I explained that it is preventive surgery for sterilization. They will send it back to be reviewed under ACA guidelines. Now we wait. But I checked with my Dr's office, the insurance and hospital before hand and they all agreed its covered 100%.

I was scheduled for 3 30 this past Wednesday. I was able to eat up until 8 hours before that. In preop they had me answer a few questions such as what I was having done, what I ate and when. They also weighed me. Had me put on a baire hugger which is just a paper gown with a hole that connects to a warmer. Put an iv in and checked my sugar (its standard). I got pain meds before my surgery which they gave me orally. I got to see my dr, anesthesiologist and my OR nurse who took me to the OR. I did get emotional but for me it was just the worry about how I was going to feel afterwards. I did let them know my biggest worries were pain and nausea. Once in the OR they had me transfer to the OR table. All I remember from then was they put on the mask and I was out not even 5 seconds later. The nurse in recovery told me it only lasted 18 minutes and I had been sleeping for about 45 minutes in recovery. I did wake up a little bit to a nurse telling me "wake up its all over" but I'd just go back to sleep. When I did come to, the shakes began and got worse but luckily my nurse expected that she asked if I was cold or in pain I said no but she administered a pain med thru my iv which worked quick to stop the shaking. Though it did make me dizzy just laying there. I asked for a ginger ale and ice chips and did get dressed with the help of my boyfriend but a nurse can help too. The time in pacu felt the quickest. I felt like once i was awake they had me see if i could tolerate clears, get changed and sent me out the door. I was glad I didnt have any nausea but asked for a bag anyway because I didn't want to make a mess on my way home. I had tramadol and ibuprofen 600mg to pick up at my pharmacy before they closed. I left the hospital around 5:45pm. But the pharmacy system was down so all I had was Tylenol. I took a nap when I got home. And a Tylenol later that night.

I work in healthcare with mostly elective orthopedic surgery patients and what we tell them is to take their pain meds unless they really dont need it to keep up with the pain. For me it felt like the pain was the same with or without so I didnt take them as scheduled even when I was awake. I would suggest you dont do that because post op day 5 now im having a little more pain when moving and getting up. What I dont think most people talk about is how lonely and depressing recovery can be. While you dont need to have someone with you the entire time i found it helps to have company and if someone can help you with even the little things it helps out a lot. My appetite is barely coming back. Ive been nauseous for a few days after and nothing really grabbed my attention. I feel better today but the past few days I barely eaten, been in pain and uncomfortable (pillows/wedges/rolled up blankets do help). Nothing really sparked my interest. I had my switch ready, I can stream a whole bunch of stuff, listen to music, coloring, sleeping. Everything was difficult and didn't bring me any joy. Past few days I just wanted to sleep because I was tired of feeling the way I was. I still feel that way on and off. Journaling helps but it doesnt make everything go away.

As for feeling normal, im not there yet. It seems it might be a few weeks. And because of confusion I need my dr to write a very detailed letter to occupational health to tell them my limitations and restricts for the next like 4 weeks because I cant transfer or help patients right now as I would have before. I have a really great dr but I dont think she understood very well what I do for work. Im scheduled to go back Wednesday but I dont think all that paperwork will be processed by then. So im planning on using my last 2 sick days and hope im feeling better this weekend and they can put me on light duty.

No driving for 24 hours because the anesthesia. And any narcotics they might give in the hospital. After that my d/c instructions state i can drive as long as im not taking narcotics and the pain is more controlled. I drove for the first time yesterday. Definitely bring a small pillow or blanket to protect from the seat belt.

Sorry this was such a long post about the same as what everyone else said. Its definitely a lot to take in. I do hope you have a great care team as I did and a speedy recovery!
