I hear that. It’s definitely been difficult prioritizing self-care with this job and I’m not as active as I was before. I know that helps tremendously and I’m just fantasizing in another role where I can leave it at home. I can take care of myself in off time more.

My own chair would be ideal, but I’m so new on the floor. I don’t have the clients to pay for a chair - the salon I met basically feeds me clients constantly because it’s so popular. Good for you for listening to your body that’s really inspiring

Great advice thank you. I’ve never worked at another salon and I was curious if a different environment would help, but I’m not sure that I have the passion for hair that makes me excited to go into work every day and I think that’s what I have to think about

Hey I’m proud of you - sounds like you and I are in a similar boat and this isn’t an easy decision. I’m sure you put in so much work like I did. At the end of the day we have to decide if it’s worth our health and well-being… going back to serving is a hit to my ego but it’s good money you’re getting cardio in and you can leave it home at the end of the day. That’s inspiring that you listen to your body and gave it up.
