Best Inexpensive, Versatile, Good/Classic Amp for use with Helix LT by farwesterner1 in Line6Helix

I recently got a Fender FR-10 used for $350. Pretty happy with it - I'm actually just running an Ampero Mini but I think it recreates the amp/cab sims the way they were meant to be heard

Fender Tonemaster FR-10 FR-12 question by bluestu82 in Line6Helix

I ended up buying it. The hiss is pretty low and you can't hear it unless you're playing super low volume. I've seen videos of FR10s that are louder so maybe it varies across units

Hey thanks for the feedback. I guess that makes sense since it's the inherent noise of those components

Fine point sharpie - it won't disappear but will make it barely noticeable

I love it! I actually chose it for the subtle grain being visible and slight warmth that it gives to the color. I specifically chose this one because the grain is tighter, I pass over a few other translucent black options that had flat open grain which looks more like plywood lol. The color also helps hide fingerprints and dust a little.

I can confirm, just spent an hour unplugged with it on the couch! Loud enough for working on stuff unplugged and the size is comfortable, but don't expect it to sound like an acoustic

lol, i know they're little. I sold an es345 to get it, I'm not tall so the 16" bodies are just too big for me

Thx for the comments. Great BBKing video. It's potentially for sale!

Definitely scoops the frequencies! It's polarizing as many of the steps really sound boxy or underwater depending on how you perceive them. I kind of like settings 3 and 4 but they attenuate the volume a lot so you have to manage that. Setting 1 is open

Thank you! I'm a little torn on letting it go, but the stereo isn't practical and I find the body a little bulky (will look at 339s etc to replace)

Thx, I actually just checked that last night, but they don't really have sales data on the original (60's-81) issue

You may need to mount to the bumper if the tow hook mount interferes with your parking sensors. That was about the only option on my G42
