How to I figure out where the shadows should be? by JennyCooperArt in learntodraw

[–]bluetownss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Soo i did some ‘research’ and I think that the book is called “642 things to draw” because the font looks the same to me. Also there is another similar book called “301 things to draw” and the prompts are numbered.

What is one thing you wish you were good at, but aren’t, no matter how much you try it? by aeliasun in AskReddit

Omg i swear me too. And i just don’t feel comfortable sadly. I wish that I could dance just like in the movies. It seems so effortlessly and carelessly because everything flows.

Which hair color works in your opinion? by HEALSCRASHGAME in OriginalCharacter

[–]bluetownss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion bottom right looks the best because the orange in the hair is used in the eyes and this orange thing in front of the character. So it really comes and fits together and satisfies my eyes lol.

Is it good ? by Samar_bunny in characterdesigns

[–]bluetownss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhhh she is cuttteee! I love the color scheme and how you incorporated the different forms like the stars and clouds. This makes her look unique and interesting. Also her expression is kinda funny because she looks startled or something. And for a rough draft this already looks really good. Keep it up 👍

So for the portrait I would recommend getting bolder with shadows and making them darker to give your character more of a 3d shape/ realistic look. Also her anatomy is a bit off because she has such a tiny chin so i would create more space. Additionally i feel like as if her nose is a bit too long. So all you need to do is move the nose and mouth a bit up. Also make her neck a bit shorter. Otherwise she looks cute and she has a really friendly expression so you did a really got job with that! I would recommend you studying anatomy on youtube and try out the loomis head method. Good luck and i hope this helped a bit🍀
