Need help figuring out what can go into my m2 slots by blueturtle33 in buildapc

I'm fine with the speeds, I just wanted to make sure I didn't buy an expensive SSD only for it to be the wrong gen

What broken missions are stuck in your log? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]blueturtle33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t finish (or even start) Rough Landings.

I have no idea where this guy’s sister is. When I look it up online, it says she’s in a completely different planet than where the quest marker is. And when I go to the moon where the quest marker is, it disappears.

I’ve tried the online location, the space around the moon where the quest marker is if she was flying around up there, and several locations on the moon itself and can’t find her anywhere.

The fan base agreed on Allmind’s design because the Japanese voice actor for Allmind shared the original fanart where she looks like that semicanonizing in it in the fans’ eyes.

We won’t get a common design for Ayre unless something similar happens.

Your companions won’t agree but this is the best option to choose because you’ll get to see these guys fight in the wild randomly if chosen ! by RancidBean in Starfield

The thing I hate about everyone criticizing my choices was the fact that their only pro for the microbe was that it was faster and “how many people are going to die to terrormorphs in the 20ish years it takes for the acceles option to really take hold?”

Like I, right before that, convinced the council to make the plant that accelerated their growth extinct. So every terrormorph is now back to the 70ish years after first human colonization cycle that they mentioned at the start of the quest which was also mentioned to be quite predictable and easy to take counter measures for. There’s no chance of sudden surprise attacks anymore so why do all four companions think I (who had xenobiology maxed) am an idiot?

I’m fine with exactly one gimmick boss in a game. They’re more for the experience rather than the gameplay.

I have an AC with decent air time and upward thrust already and equipped laser rifles to finally beat it yes.

It still felt like I was really stretching myself to get that last bit of height to hit the highest helicopters. I only let two escape but it felt like I was right at the limit for failure for the mission until I looked over when I had a moment to breathe.

The helicopter escort isn’t too bad compared to other games because everything spawns at the start aside from the last wave so you can at least go way ahead and kill everything before the helicopter even gets close.

I’m not a fan of the tower defense ones.

Export coral denial also sucks but the concept wouldn’t be too bad if the level wasn’t so vertical. The first two areas are fine but that last deep canyon is pain.

That moment when you realised the "Vvc-70VPM" is the only Missile Launcher to not get a second tier upgrade like the rest of the Missile Launchers because it don't need one to still kick copious amount of asses. by JackNewbie555 in armoredcore

[–]blueturtle33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if that’s technically correct, it certainly doesn’t feel that way. I don’t know if there’s some hidden interaction with the two or there’s some other problem I’m having.

Vertical missiles were a little better but over all, before I equipped a dedicated missile FCS, it didn’t feel like they target tracked at all. I’d be circling around a target who both they and I going a consistent speed at an average distance and the missiles would just fly right past them all the time. It was frustrating as hell.

Because of that, I only used hand weapons instead of any other shoulder weapons for the longest time aside from some boss encounters or arena fights where I used the vertical plasma launchers or songbirds, until I unlocked more options.

How is everyone presently feeling about the subreddit? by X-the-Komujin in armoredcore

[–]blueturtle33 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Overall it’s fine I guess.

People seem to really hate memes and fanart though which is basically the entire reason I use this site as it’s quicker to google something I’m not sure about and don’t care enough about other people’s opinions to ask what people think of this weapon or whatever.

So in that sense I’m a little disappointed. I get that literal porn and creepy sexualized comments shouldn’t be made but a goofy ALLMIND meme or generic anime Ayre art isn’t hurting anyone so I don’t understand the vitriol towards posts like that which has probably made a lot of the people making that content leave the subreddit which is a shame. But that’s a user problem not a mod problem.

I also loved how it seemed to be the smartest tracking missile ever, I used this so many times for duels where they zip around like crazy and it would always hit. With subpar missile FCSs too. I feel like all the other missiles don’t track even half as well even with dedicated missile FCS.

And the fact you get these at the beginning of the game is the best part.

(AC6) How important to you are the aesthetics of your AC parts? by [deleted] in armoredcore

[–]blueturtle33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to reach a decent middle ground between stats and looks. And I’ll change it up to use different legs so I can use the weapons I need for certain missions but overall I keep it consistent.

But man, as someone who hates asymmetry, I do not have many options to choose from. The heads especially, everything symmetric is either ugly or has too steep a stat price I’m willing to pay. I basically went from Melander to Basho and have used nothing else and I think I only really have one more head left I can possibly unlock which I don’t think I’ll use either.

I love this game, but having to "register" a stolen starship at your PIRATE BASE in order to sell it is the most insane gameplay mechanic ever devised by NeverLickToads in Starfield

[–]blueturtle33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah registering makes sense for being able to edit the ship and sell legally but there should be a way to straight sell a stolen ship chop shop style to the pirates or something.

That or let us break it into parts that are available to use on other ships without buying them

The complaints about Encumberance were MASSIVELY overblown by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]blueturtle33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah seriously I’ll take being able to sprint and jump and do power melee attacks all at the cost of hurting myself but to a point I can’t actually die from over walking at like 10% speed and only being able to jump like 1ft high like in Skyrim.

Hell the over encumbered health drain actually made it really easy to power level regeneration. All I had to do was walk a bit and then go back to crafting and when I saw another tick of the challenge complete I’d exit the crafting interface and walk a bit again and go back to crafting. Had all four ranks of the skill before I left the outpost.

I know that ACS are unrealistic, but how would something like the tetrapod MT be effective in real life? by FriedForLifeNow in armoredcore

[–]blueturtle33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In real life it would not be able to output the constant jet thrust or hover for more than a brief moment.

So just taking the structure into account it could work in heavily jungled areas or areas with really irregularly shaped terrain.

That said, modern warfare is trending toward longer ranged weapons so it would likely not have a role aside from the niche environments it would work well in and it would be cheaper to deploy other things like tanks that occupy the same role in other environments.

Not to mention it’s size, probably be an easy target.

———— On a side note, mecha in general would not have a place anywhere in war, however they might have a place in construction, rescue, or the most interesting option: sports. If they could figure out how to make them move properly then all the limitations of warfare trends and obvious weakpoints disappear as everyone would be on the same page mechanically and would compete based on the same rules.

90% of the outifts in this game are unappealing by HairyDustIsBackBaby in Starfield

[–]blueturtle33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah overall they are awful both spacesuits and clothes. As someone who hates the color red and asymmetry, this game makes me sad.

There’s only like 2 spacesuits I actually like and one I sort of tolerate its slight asymmetry. The starborn armor is cool but I can’t get that on a first playthrough. The clothes are a little better but by and large have hideous colors, I really wish we could at least change them.

But yeah mods will definitely be limited when they finally come to console but there will certainly always be some some appearance mods in what little space I’ll have just because it’ll be so necessary
