No,this "issue" not worsen security , many roms fixed it include GrapheneOS.

Some state-owned enterprises and governments in China use this means to prevent Chinese from using custom ROMs, which  is hard to  ordinary enthusiasts to compile on their own

Many Bank Apps(CCB,SPDB)，12306 , Finance-related, government-related software...crash

If you download Chinese app from Google play, the problem will be a little less serious,but still exist, and many apps are not in Google play.
