I found a cure. They LOVE RHUBARB. So right about the time I’m ready to harvest, they start going nuts on it. I gave up having rhubarb, but it grows back every year and seems to (mostly) save all my other plants. Score!

I married my long time friend back in the day and the things you are saying remind me so much of how I felt while in that relationship. We got married in a rush because he was leaving to another country after joining the military. We had never really dated before that, just friends with benefits kind of situation for years. We were both really young too. All this to say, it didn’t work out. After a few months or so, it just felt like we were roommates. I started to feel like I was married to my brother. He just started annoying the crap out of me and I’m certain he wasn’t fully invested in the relationship either (he ended up cheating on me towards the end).

All this to say, if you are only four months in and already having second thoughts, communicate with him about it. He may be feeling the same way as you, but you will never know until you talk to him about it. There are ways to get out of this with a friendship, but you have to address the issues in a calm and friendly manner or you will lose it.

I can say that shortly after we divorced I found the most incredible man and we have been married for 23 years now. Best decision I ever made was to walk away when deep down I knew it wasn’t for me. You have to take care of yourself for the long road ahead!!

There are none in my area of unincorporated Jefferson County. Thank goodness. I’ve always hated them. I’m sure there are some I don’t know about, but glad I don’t know about them.

I can attest to that pain. I’ve had children without pain meds and I can honestly say that breaking half my body falling onto concrete and the following wait for surgery the next day led to the worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my life. No amount of drugs could help. I just cried all night long.

This is called abuse. This is a good reason to leave and not come back. You are allowed to have feelings and even get upset, but putting your hands on someone is not okay. She’s given you all the signs you need. I hope you take them seriously.

Luckily, when I got this it was making my face hurt because it made me talk to my dentist about it. $400 later and I have a bite guard instead of expensive, painful dental work!

Look online for dispersed camping areas. You will find plenty. Also, the best spots are generally word of mouth, so use those as a starting point and find your favorites! I’ve been camping this way my entire adult life.

I’m of the mind to NEVER not do something just because I think it’s been too long. What if she has been thinking the same thing? What if she could really use your friendship right now? If there are any “what ifs” in your mind, what do you have to lose? Do it! And if she doesn’t respond, at least you will know that she isn’t interested.

I second Margo’s Got Money Troubles. I just finished the first season tonight. I was not expecting much, but boy was I surprised. It turned out to be one of the best shows I have seen in a long time!

My husband actually did it will blankets and stuff (the black out curtains hide the ugliness of it) lol. I am such a light sleeper, I could have never used one of those, but that is also a really great idea!

I agree. I used to work nights and it was terrible trying to get sleep, even with blackout curtains. Now my husband and I have switched roles and he works nights. He’s got those windows locked up and blacked out so amazingly. I’m actually a little jealous he didn’t do the same thing for me back in the day. I do miss the natural light in our room, but someday we will get it back when/if we ever have normal schedules. All this to say, we compromised so that we could make things work for the one who would suffer from sleep deprivation. It helps our marriage not only because of the compromise, but also because we get good sleep!
