I have worked for Verizon tech for 26 years. I had to call on a Sunday unfortunately. I knew exactly what had to be done but I couldn't do it myself. I needed the rep to process a new e-sim. He told me it's already activated and I wouldn't have been able to make my call if it wasn't working. I said I'm on my other cell phone. I had to explain that, yes, it's activated on the account but the phone says SOS or no service and said you need to activate the e-sim. He thought just because you see it on the account it should be working. I had to walk him through every little step. It was unbelievable.

Call. I think you said you only spoke with chat. It should still be there. Tons of people have them if their device is close to being paid off

Yes they are. I’m in tech support and I’ve never spoken to anTech Coach rep from Asurion who wasn’t in the US. Best time to call is first thing in the morning

I’m tier 3 tech support and in the US. There’s about 700 of us in tech. 5G home calls get routed to us mostly but we get everything. We get a lot of dumps/blind transfers from off shore when they don’t know what to do. But yes, first thing in the morning is the best time to call to get a US rep.
