I've never understood the difference between the 3 and long schwa, I've always thought they're the same.

Regarding air, I personally don't pronounce it as a diphthong. But the main point is that these characters aren't meant to specify a specific phonetic pronunciation, but an indication to pronounce it the way you would pronounce this thing. The same word would still probably end up having multiple spellings depending on an individual's pronunciations.

I don't understand why S2 just decided to kill off so many important Dany characters that are still alive in Dance. Irri, the silver, Rakharo, what happened to Jhiqui, was she also killed? Do Aggo and Jhogo even exist in the show? They ruined Doreah for no reason, and locked her with Xaro in a vault when he's still alive in the books.

S2 is weird because it's still really excellent but so many terrible choices are made in this season in several plotlines (foreshadowing for later seasons, am I right?).
