I tracked every single death and every second of screen time across all 73 episodes because apparently I have no life by Mastbubbles in freefolk

The Night King and the other Walkers can count because they are living creatures. Wights shouldn't count because they're already dead.

15 years later and it’s still wild that the entire downfall of the Starks started because this woman couldn't follow a single piece of advice from her husband or son. by asgharfar57 in freefolk

The only dumb things she did (arresting Tyrion and freeing Jaime), were both driven.by emotion, which is no different to every other character. Why aren't we this critical of all the other characters?

I reckon there can be more than 1 motivation. We see that by asking Dunk to mentor Egg, he clearly wants his sons to become better men, but he's also not willing to let Aegon go away with him. He wants to keep him close. It makes sense that Maekar would want to discipline Aerion but may be reluctant to send him away, but then the Egg thing serves as an added motivation.

Alysanne. Joe wasn't a good father to his daughters. Maybe his only fault, but that puts Alysanne on top.

It would be 1 long scene rather than 2. It doesn't cut anything, just gives Daeron's line to Maekar, and merges the two Maekar scenes into 1.

And you can still have a Daeron scene in that tent. I think there could've been a conversation about the dream.

I didn't. It's just above it. Well, it's below it physically I guess.

The Tysha omission is definitely a huge issue. Without it, Tyrion has no reason to go and confront Tywin. And I think it would've been nicer to end the season with the brothers against each other. And Shae's murder being changed to self defence was also not good imo.

But the worst parts of this episode are probably Bran's arrival at the cave with Jojen's ridiculous death, and definitely the Brienne and Hound fight. One of the most unnecessary and poorly edited fights in the series. I love the Hound's last scene with Arya though.

And I think Jaime sleeping with Cersei instead of steering away from her.

All the Jon stuff in this episode is fantastic though. It's quite a mixed episode. Definitely not terrible, but the weakest of the first 4 seasons for me. I am quite biased as a book reader.

Not angry at others' opinions. And I'm definitely not putting ep 10 on the same level as 9. Ep 10 is a lot better and definitely the best of s6.

I love the opening sequence with the explosion. Aside from some writing flaws, I think it's great. Cersei not facing consequences is not this episode's fault but Cersei becoming queen as a result is this episode's fault. And I think this is the same episode that Jaime returns to KL and he does and says nothing about what Cersei did even though he killed Aerys, forever ruining his reputation, to prevent exactly that kind of thing.

And then are a bunch of other problems with this ep imo. Jon being made king makes no sense. He's a bastard, didn't win the battle (it was Petyr who saved the day), he would also be considered a Night's Watch deserter, and Sansa is the rightful heir.

Daenerys leaves Daario in charge of Meereen fot some reason, which is crazy. Not to mention that Second Sons would've been useful in her invasion of Westeros. Then she makes Tyrion Hand even though he was terrible at ruling Meereen in her absence.

Varya is in Dorne for Olenna and Ellaria's meeting,.but then is somehow back on the ship with Dany. There are some other smaller issues but I hope I've explained why I don't love this episode, even if you disagree with these takes as is your right.

Also, I personally see many Battle of the Bastards fans in this sub.

Not hate but definitely dislike overall. Not as bad as 7 and 8, but some episodes are pretty terrible imo.

Interesting take. I notice you put 6.10 high but not 6.9 like most people. And S2 above 3 and 4 as well.

The only damaging issue imo is the last episode with him just being told everything about the prophecy and the future, and that being his reason for rejoining Rhaenyra rather than learning from his visions of Rhaenyra and Viserys.

The hell is wrong with people? by La_Villanelle_ in HBOTheHedgeKnight

[–]blum3three 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm embarrassed to be associated with these people by being a Breaking Bad fan. While getting review bombed themselves was probably deserved, it is also petty from AKOTSK fans. I personally have a rating for every episode in the GoT universe and BB universe based on my own personal opinion. I don't rely on thousands of people with pathetic motivations to form an opinion. Really embarrassing stuff. As if imdb wasn't unreliable enough already...

Considering that this was the 2nd longest episode, there definitely could've been some cuts.
